DeBu—-You do not strike me as an ‘angry’ person….you are passionate about what would make thinking people angry. Anger turned inward becomes sadness, depression, self hate, disease. Passion harnessed and focused is a powerful tool. There are some women on this site that are constantly with that ‘calm down’ line that drive me nuts because they are the very ones with that put on nicey-nicey behavior and their Republicans. What they really are is inherent in what they support. GC, I so agree with you. Cindy has looked pretty nice a few times…but that outfit was very inappropriate for the reasons you state…and Laura Bush’s was in keeping with the occasion. I don’t think Cindy has a good sense of self…otherwise her look would be consistently hers rather than all over the map as if can’t decide who she is. To me it’s in very poor taste to overdress esp for a politician with the country at ‘war’ it shows great insensitivity.

Kellyx2—I used to dress nicely when worked but now it’s lycra black leggings, black boat neck 3/4 lenght top, black ballet shoes and bangle bracelet nearly everyday. I can’t imagine every doing this before…but it looks neat and presentable, is easy, and am just not into ‘stuff’ so much any more. Why are you dining with the Lt Gov? Who knows, maybe he/she likes biker chicks!

NP-Address, of course! When my son was in HS in Europe and traveling around a lot he’d (unbeknownst to me) give kids our address and say here’s where to stay in California. I’d get knocks on the door at 11PM! “We met Rob in Austria and he said we could stay in his room.” Luckily he always has super friends. Am sure when I move it’ll be like running another B&B out the house. But that’s part of the fun. I’m feeling a little better now that Bill Clinton said he’s going to do whatever it takes. Dona, You are so nice….And on Facebook the ‘friends’ photos rotate…I have nearly 1,000 now and when catch your photo always smile. Hope you are getting some relief from the back. I saw in the Santa Barbara newspaper a week or so ago a story with a photo of a beautiful blond recent grad of Dartmouth….I believe she was starting grad school and very popular in all kinds of things. By all appearances someone with everything. She’d killed herself. It is so impossibly sad, because it doesn’t make any sense. For someone so terrific to lose themselves and still put on the happy front and take a permanent solution to a temporary state of mind. It will never make sense…and will always be a tragedy. You’re just neat Dona. We will have to do the French Laundry one of these days. Next week am going to start working like a month on speed…have new big projects.
