I agree with you completely, people like Palin always attract attention because of their craziness.  Most of us don’t take them seriously, they are just a distraction.  I notice the same thing about Fox News, sometimes I stop when flipping through the channels to watch the crazies, also like a train wreck.  I can’t believe some of the things their  hosts get away with—doesn’t mean I agree, which I think accounts for their ratings.  I wish Palin & others like her would just go away, and some serious republicans would replace them, and help President Obama get this country back on track.  All they do is oppose him instead of trying to come up with ideas & pull together.  I believe he has tried to reach out, but they just want him to fail—even at the cost of all of the country failing!!!

Maggie I do agree with you about Palin and Levi being the credible one!!!  He was just a kid, when they decided to use him, but he knows where the bodies are buried.  I also agree about Hillary, I really was not a big fan of hers, but as I saw her handle herself during the campaign, my respect for her totally grew.  Palin could take a lesson from Hillary, I think she even made some remarks about Hillary needing to take her licks from the press like a woman!!

I believe a lot more women did identify with her at the time of the election.  Sorry, but that ship has sailed.  I think the only people she has left are people that hate Our President.  That will not get her elected to anything, women especially have seen right through her now!!!!

It seems to me that Greta has a little bit of an ethics problem herself, with her husband being a big backer behind Palin.  Sort of stinks!!  I don’t blame Levi for speaking out, he was used and then discarded by the Palins when he was no longer useful.  I am 100 per cent behind leaving the kids out of it, but when Palin drug them all around, at all hours, she sorted of gave up the right to complain.  I think people would have been behind her  if she went back to Alaska, did some studying & work for her state.  Now all we hear is her complaining and being a victim—-people have lost even more respect for her.

Dona-I totally agree with all your points.  I am also tired of hearing about her, and it seems she just wants to keep her name in the media any way she can!!!  I just read a statement from her today about the media abusing her.  Please Sarah, just go away, and maybe Ann Coulter could join her!!!!

Lin Cerone & Mommie Dearest—-I couldn’t agree with you more.!!  I used to enjoy watching the show, but all the phoniness for ratings, and pumping up Barbara constantly, has made the show intolerable.  It seems like they try to put Hasselbeck out in front constantly, which makes her look more radical all the time, and don’t get me started on her interviewing style—she has none!!  I read today that Celiac Association, has come out with lots of mistaken facts in her book that they are pushing like crazy.  I wonder if they will address that in "Hot Topics!"

Kelly, It was nice having this discussion with you, but we will just have to wait and see how well  the Obama administration does.  I hope and pray for him and all of us.  Sadly, people with your outlook do not wish him well, and hope for him to fail, which means we all fail.

Kelly, I believe it is you that needs to open her mind.  As someone who voted for Bush twice, I did not like the way he handled foreign diplomacy with his  swagger & talk of everyone being evil.  That is old and wasn’t working, that why I voted for someone to change things, as did a lot of other people who voted for Bush.  I am giving him the time to turn around 8 years down the drain. 

Kelly, who has Obama been judged by, the only ones ranting are the extemeist fear mongers like Limbaugh and Hannity!  The people voted for a different foreign policy, and he is trying to do that.  I don’t think we know yet what the outcome will be.  That is what I meant by "chance".  No matter what the man does, he is judged immediately by the blowhards trying to rile up people for the next election!!!

I wouldn’t waste my time reading anything Malkin wrote.  Republicans are just so radical in their speech about Obama, I just can’t stand to watch Fox, it is just amazing to me.  I consider my self an independent, I am really appalled at the hate speak coming from the likes of Malkin, Limbaugh, Hannity—they don’t want to make the world a peaceful place they are just full of hate.  It disgusts me the way people are taken in by them. 

I couldn’t disagree more!! Joe Scarborough and Newt both are blow hards that just love to hear themselves talk.  As someone who voted twice for George Bush, I’m glad to see someone try diplomacy first rather than strut around calling everyone evil.  I don’t think for a minute that Obama is weak, he will do whatever is necessary to keep America safe.  Give the man a chance, after all we gave Bush 8 years to screw thing up!!!

I don’t think asking pertinent questions about things he says means a disrespectful interview.  I would have liked to see Liz ask him some of the questions he asks people that he interviews!!!   Liz definitely let him off easy, especially since he was out on an image fixing set of interviews, she feel right into step!!!!

I thought it was really a nice interview as well, but I have noticed O’Reilly is trying to soften his image with women ,maybe because of the bad publicity has he has gotten lately.  I used to watch him all the time, but he has personally gotten so rude  about women, Madeline Albright & Whoopi, Helen Thomas and the other ladies he interviews.  He seems to act like their ideas are so irrelevent to his.  I also like to hear both sides of an position, but he has gotten a bit to arrogant to my way of thinking.  I think all of these interviews & TV appearances are a little more about remaking his image than about The Factor.!!!

I used to really enjoy the View, but since they tried to become political, I have to say I don’t enjoy it and have mostly stopped watching.  If they want to be political, they need to stop just trying to get their name on the news, and do some research on topics.  I used to watch the program for fun, I got my politics & news from other sources.  It seems like it has all come down to ratings with them, any kind will do.  I think it is time for Barbara to retire, I watched a panel with her and Steve Kroft on C-span and she looked so frail, and seemed to not understandor grasp some of the questions.  I hate to see her wither in front of our eyes, after so many years of good work & respect.
