Whoopi Goldberg Reaches Out to Readers

Whoopi, I totally agree with you, I know because I hear that kind of talk from some family and friends. It makes me furious. I am a white, independent woman, I find Obama-Biden ticket very encouraging! I think they will really work to change things, McCain-Palin, I’m afraid will be more of the same. I’m sure Palin is a fine woman, but I just can’t get past her very conservative views on womens issues. I voted for George Bush twice, but was so disappointed with him —I’m paying very close attention to this election. As far as Elizabeth Haselbeck goes, I believe she has a right to her opinion, she just doesn’t seem capable of talking in an adult manner to express her points. She either cries or talks over everyone, I don’t find this appealing for her cause. It seems as though everyone else has to contain themselves so Elizabeth can rant. I believe you all should be able to express yourselves in a lively discussion without worry about getting Elizabeth upset. She certainly doesn’t worry about other peoples feelings. I thought it was wrong from a professional sense, what she said about Michele Obama having something to hide on the show. I wouldn’t think this would be ethical for someone on the show to do that. I really resented it.

Whoopi Goldberg: 'John McCain Now Is a Republican Talking Head'

First just let me say that I’m new to this site, and I’m so glad I found it. I could not agree more with Susan B & Whoopi!!While the McCains I’m sure they are fine people, they can not possibly relate to average people. As far as Sarah Palin on the ticket, I’m sure it is historic for her to be on the ticket, but I take offense at their thinking that we will all follow like sheep, with no thought to her far out views on many subjects. I was a little apprehensive about who to chose in the election, but the more I see McCain-Palin, the choice becomes quite clear! She is not about bringing people together, she is mean spirited and condecending. I resent the way they are trying to keep questions away from her, we have a right to know when she is running for VP.
