I had more sense as a 17-year old mother….my husband’s mother would want to babysit him and I would find polite ways of saying no because she believed in leaving a radio on in the baby’s room when he was trying to sleep so he would ‘get used to noise.’ I said why should he get used to noise….when I don’t want to? I turned everything off (meaning dishwasher/washing machine etc as didn’t have a TV on) and read while he napped so he had the peace he deserved. A 17-year old has more sense than this woman. Strangers would want to hold my baby, and I’d hug him to me and say, sorry…no. She has no protective/maternal nature or instincts for the environment, wild animals, the country or even her own little baby. I do not like this woman at all.

BTW, Miss Whoopi. I always wonder since you’ve worked in San Francisco and Danny Glover is such a prominent Hollywood figure here too, if you know him. The reason am asking is that he has a 4-story pink house behind me that he was renovating for his sister, who unfortunately died. And the construction was stopped and the house has been empty with the construction stopped, it seems, forever. Am always curious what he is going to do with that house. Everyday when look out the kitchen window it is there, empty and sad. It’s a four story house the back part facing the wind and with winter coming, and the top floor not very secure to the weather. I’ve hoped to run into him in the little shops in the neighborhood here…and would ask him…as he lives up the hill. No such luck. He’s such a great guy and was so sorry to hear about his sister. Was so nice what he was doing for her. It’s a very nice house.

Frank, Everything about Coultergeist gives me the creeps….don’t even want to look at the legs. She’s one big, UGH. I’ve always had, been known for, and proud of my long legs…and admire the leggy gals. Who knew Leslie Stahl and Katie Couric had such glammy gams? We always see them behind a desk. Diane Sawyer, oh yeah, she’s got ‘em, most definitely. And so many other long stemmed beauties. But I guess I admire Tina the most of all. Hi Kathy, Agree…..and agree 100000% percent with Whoopi. Palin is a DANGEROUS woman. And I use that word woman in the literal sense….she is not what a woman is to me and certaintly not anything like the kind of woman I want to be. She is repugnant in the extreme. I will do what I can to ensure her defeat as well. And I hope she is indicted on Troopergate….she is my idea of pure HELL.

Sandbee, My sisters and brothers were born when I was 2, 3, 5 and 10. Only when I was 10, and with much beforehand instruction was it OK to pick up the baby. As much as what harm could come to a baby from a little, unpracticed, unknowing child….but also the grievous harm that could come to a ten-year who could unknowingly do irreparable damage to a baby with one false move…..dropping it?! I can’t imagine subjecting my pregnant 17 year old child to the glare and publicity and ridicule from some quarters—like late night TV. Or, my 7-year old Down’s Syndrome baby to what must be experienced as the psychoic hell (because I know it does that for me) of the RNC Convention….not to mention being cared for by a 7 year old. These people are truly NUTS. I wouldn’t let a 7’year hold a baby unless I was sitting next to them, and probably on the floor. It’s child endangerment.
