I think you know Rev. Wright was not kidding and neither is Rush Limbaugh.  I have listened and you must be tone deaf if you believe he is joking.  But then based on your post he sounds logical to you.  No one remotely connected to President Obama will ever be left alone by the right wingers. 

What is your reason?

Scarlett,  Like I said in my post President Obama has already addressed this issue.  So what is your objection?  I am just trying to get some idea what people mean when they talk about big government.  Medicare and SS are big governement program and yes there is waste and fraud.   There is waste and fraud in private industry in both large and small companies.

The Government has the responsiblity to provide for all of its people.   President Obama is attempting to address the issue of keeping Medicare and SS solvent by getting rid of waste.   He wants to provide quality health care at an affordable rate for all Americans.

He is met with opposition over BIG government.  People don’t want the system touched.  NOw since they have to admit waste and fraud.  They say its okay to fix that but none of this Health Care Reform Business.   

PEople are talking out of both sides of their mouth.

I trust the joint chiefs of staff, Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense more that I do Fox News and Glen Beck.  Any thing and everything is fare game politically even the safety of our country.   I trust the people involved with the situation who have all the facts rather than people who want to score points , knowing that President Obama will do the right thing to keep the country safe but they can sway public opinion with their verson of kansas.

Open minded ?  Isn’t that like the pot calling the kettle black?   I agree that an ignorant person north or south is a problem. Some people are racist and ignorant.  All ignorant people are not racist.

What is all this talk about the constitution ?  Has something been done to it?   You are just a regular person so no body cares about you?  Where is this coming from?  When you read Margo’s article where is that she said if you don’t agree with the President you are racist?

Do you really believe that Rush Limabaugh and Glen Beck are kidding ?  No one else does.    He has been harping on this story for awhile talking about this is Obama’s America where white kids get beat up while black kids laugh.   He is not kidding in any of his diatribe.   Couldn’t you tell Rev. Wright was just kidding? 

There are already laws about drinking and driving.  He drove and it was wrong and unlawful.  The accident affected both families.  Kennedy had a family also.

Carrying loaded guns to a rally to flaunt your rights before a President who has not   made any moves to ban guns and has expanded some gun rights  Yet gun sales have gone through the roof.  Signs with Obama is coming for your guns. 

The NRA has created a false enemy in President Obama.

No one blindly trusts the government and political parties have different agendas.   But to put blame and deny Health care reform because illegal immigrants might benefit is totally lacking in vision.

Scarlett, President Obama has addressed fraud and abuse.   what we are talking about is that the health care Reform is not being designed to provided services to illegal immigrants.

There are companies that are set up to defraud Medicare by charging for medical equipment that is never delivered but the money pocketed.

So what is your point?  No health care reform because illegal immigrants might take advantadge?  Disband Social Security because illegal immigrants or someone else might defraud?  Cut out the Medicare program because illegal immigrants might receive benefits? 

 Crime exists but to accuse everyone on welfare or social security as cheats is just as dishonest.

I think you identified the genisis of your rage.  People  who as  Sarah Palin would say don’t live in the "real" world.  They don’t have to deal and live with all these people that are so different .  Our country is changing and money spent- ( Fox news keeps telling you how much )  The new President who is different also is a good person to let my rage out on..   Blame him for trying to better the country.

C Hardy,  You can not or will not understand Margo’s article.  I am sure by now she is tired of hearing you say that she accused all southerners of being uneducated and that anyone who complains about President Obama is a racist.  That is not all what she said.

Polls have shown that the majority of negative feelings toward President Obama are from the south.  More Southerners believe that he is not a citizen.  That same poll shows that many of these same respondents don’t believe that Hawaii is a part of the United States.  This leads people to believe that these people perhaps are not as educated.  

Hearing some of the Tea Party people discuss issues that they don’t really understand would lend credence to a lack of education.

The Southern states have a history that they are trying to get past.  Poverty and lack of education is more evident in the poor rural communities in the South.   Now please- I am not saying just because you are poor and live in the south you are racist.

 

After reading your posts -It is hard to determine why you having difficulty with understanding the issues that we face. Maybe it is your definition of racism.  You seem angry as do many of the other posters that you feel discriminated against either by Blacks or other miniorities and not supported by your government.

You refuse to accept facts when presented by anyone other than the right wing.  You continue to say the President lied when all fact checking organizations said he did not.  You continue to support death panels and can not seem to understand why a bi-racial President with brown skin did not run as a white candidate.  Tiger Wood is bi-racial and the media insisted he be black - because that is the color of his skin. Somethings are just what they are.   Most people are not aware that they are racist and resent being called one.  We all have certain biases.    If we don’t like a person because of things that they do or the way they act then you just don’t like the person.  But if you don’t like them because they are black the that is racist.  But sometimes it is hard to tell the difference.
