that episode changed my opinion on the show too. And no disrespect to Whoopi meant, but I’m not buying her answers to these questions. You’d have to be seriously naive to think the show isn’t scripted out or the controversial aspect of it isn’t intentional. They stick the same routine, especially during the election…get into a heated debated about it, but just up to the point that it’s really tense…then break it off and go to commercial or change the subject and then everyone pretend to be happy and buddies. It’s just an act. I stopped taking the show seriously and see it now as just pure entertainment (if that) when I do tune in.

I have lost 100 pounds and when I started out it was miserable to exercise, and now I can’t live without it. I can feel my attitude getting worse if I go a few days without it and my body starts aching. My favorites are hiking, any H.I.I.T. and swimming. I’m with the earlier poster that said sex too lol.

I think if you eat meat…you don’t really have anything to complain about with this video. It’s brutal, but that is the reality. Meat just doesn’t get onto your plate by the fairy meat mother. I actually respect people less when they won’t look at the practices and the deaths they are causing by eating meat. They just want it prettied up and so no sign of the brutality is left.

The only way that Palin will become VP is if the media doesn’t do their jobs and continue the smoke screen coverage of her and people keep coming up with immature articles like this one. This isn’t the high school prom, we shouldn’t be asking her how she feels to be there still. A couple more Bush doctrine questions and she’s back to moose dressing. Question is who will ask them and if Americans will be vocal enough to demand they do so. The reason people talk about her isn’t because she’s qualified, it’s because she’s a freak show. Look at how much attention in the media Britney Spears got after she shaved her head and went on an umbrella rampage. About the same as this is getting. Americans love a freak show.

I think Elisabeth was as qualified to host a TV show on women’s views as Palin is to be VP of The United States of America. And look what a bang up job Elisabeth has done. The only people that tune in to watch her are the types we saw in the audience at the RNC. Everyone else has dreams of her running into a human sized bug zapper.

Until she opens herself up to press questioning? Is she a celebrity or is she running for office? That sentence alone should have people outraged “until she opens herself up to press questioning” And that’s fine if the View wants to be considered an entertainment show…then quit talking politics or having candidates on. Candidates and politics are not entertainment, even though the lines are starting to blur more and more recently. Barbara herself likes to repeatedly talk about how they are people’s major source for NEWS, she doesn’t say major source of entertainment. If Biden had gone into hiding and then said acted all Diva and called the shots on when he would face the press, there would have been a media outrage.

Tee Zee, my husband and I cut TV 4 years ago and are much much better for it. Now when we catch TV in a motel or on the road, we just laugh at how bad it is. When you step back from it for the time we have and then tune back in, you really see how bad it is. We’ve cancelled magazine subscriptions lately too if they are not legit in their news coverage. If they are more TMZ style in their news coverage than actually focusing on the issues, we call and cancel. I think Newsweek is next to go after seeing a preview of their articles this weekend.

I think when Palin referred to her own “lipstick” in her political speech, she set herself up for it. And Whoopi, I love that you are on here speaking your mind. It’s what I tuned into the View to see you do, and until now in this small forum, I haven’t seen you do it. I wish you’d speak up and reach the wider audience on the View with your thoughts. As for Elisabeth, I don’t care what party she is, that has never been the reason I so strongly dislike her. She is not a woman I can respect. Her comments recently about Michelle Obama were just flat out unprofessional and juvenile in nature. It’s biased shows like the View and the media that are destroying our country. When McCain is on, are you going to ask him why the woman running for VP of the United States of America is hiding out from the press? Why he calls Obama a celebrity, when Palin is pulling Diva moves like not speaking to the press and only allowing one interview and screening the questions for that? Or about the fact that he is running for the most powerful position in this country, and doesn’t know how to use a computer in this day and age? Or about his temper? No, like usual the View will have him on and then when he gives his nice safe pat answers, you’ll let them fly and go unquestioned.
