Whoopi Goldberg Reaches Out to Readers

Whoopi, A rant about …. WTH? Jesse said it. Whoopi said it. I just have no clue as to WHY. I find a book about the “N” word on who shouldn’t say and who should. (I find this disturbing in itself) Drinking my morning jolt I tune into FOX news. I see two black people on my screen, one female and one male. They are actually arguing on the “N” word subject. One says (the female) that it’s not acceptable and the male is trying to say that while he doesn’t say it that it is said in a ‘loving’ way at times. WTH? Ok first let me say that I’m white and we’ve always been taught that while that was a very ugly word it wasn’t just for blacks. The definitino of the “N” word is:(I personally don’t even like to TYPE the word much less say it. Ni**er is a derogatory term used to refer to dark-skinned people, mostly those of Black African ancestry. As an English variant of negro, it was once in common usage, but in recent times, in most contexts, it is considered a racial slur.[1] However, modern variants such as nigga are used as a synonym for “person” in a controversial effort to reclaim the word for general use. Now the what we were taught as kids that yes it was a racial slur towards blacks, but ALSO it could be used on ANYONE that was dirty, filthy, disgusting and just plain pathetic regardless of race. I must say that we never used this word in our home as a child and never in my house as an adult. It just wasn’t called for. Oh but now we hear it (if you listen to rap) almost daily and it’s accepted for those circles that are black. Even elementary schools have stepped onto the ‘rap’ bandwagon trying to get kids to eat better. OMG you must see this. NOTE: This came home to us for our son to learn to sing along with his other classmates that are (were) involved in a healthy eating program called kidz bite back. The program itself is great. It teaches children (which I be live the teaching should be done to the parents) how to eat healthier. This was ELEMENTARY 4th grade. Anyway here goes: You wanna be cool You wanna be hip Then start eat’n vegetables And stop and eat’n chips You can catch me on da block Eat’n salad wit tomatoes on da top I pull up in da drive thru Ask 4 some cheese They say no we don’t got dat Want a hamburger plz We say no way do u know who I iz I’m da fruit man wit da cherries not da ribs Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I stay true wit myself (we stomp our feet) Instead of being couch potatoes I be outside getting active & I be BALLIN! So quit hate’n and be fit We aint got anything left to say WORD! (we cross our arms) Ok now what’s wrong with this song you ask? MOST of you will already know. For starters the actual inference put on the LANGUAGE. WHO talks this way? WHO sings this way? RAPPERS do. And what do we hear Rappers say ALLOT? The “N” word! Along with some other disgusting slurs towards women. Now we pulled our son from this program and felt great doing so. We let our son know that THIS kind of language isn’t accepted in ANY way. Speak ENGLISH not ebonics. Did you know that Ebonics was actually a language among blacks, putting emphasis on African people here. Anyway…back to the book about the “N” word. ARE THEY FOR REAL? They actually have a BOOK about WHO can say the word and WHO can’t. This word has a place and it’s not coming from anyone’s mouth. ANYONE. However it seems that Whoopi thinks SHE (and the other co-host) have the RIGHT to say it. I don’t. Never have and never will. How could anyone find this word acceptable? I guess this does show how differently we are raised and how we raise our children. WE (as white children) were always taught that is was a very ugly word. Perhaps those children from black parents were taught that it was cool or OK to say around their own race? Quite puzzling isn’t it? Not for me, because if I HEAR the word come from ANYONE I immediately know that the person that just said that is very, very ugly. You remember when your parents always said, “You can be a beautiful person but when you say things that are ugly it makes you look ugly” - this is SO true.

Whoopi Goldberg: Sarah Palin 'Is a Very Dangerous Woman'

Whoopi, Just to let you know that I lost ‘all’ respect for you the day you spewed the “N” word all over The View. Now you attempt to say that if Palin’s child were to be BLACK that she’d be treated differently. You stooped to a new low Whoopi. Step aside pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
