It Happened Last Night: Can That Be Cannabis?

I agree with Mr. Peterson. I’m still in contact with people I went to high school (and got high) with, 25 years ago. None of us has been to jail, committed a violent crime, overdosed, lost a job or a marriage, or become a junkie after all these years that we all still indulge. I firmly believe that alcohol is far more damaging than pot.

It Happened Last Night: Can That Be Cannabis?

I’m sure pot isn’t completely harmless, but come on folks, let’s compare it to the poisons in cigarettes…..the physical and emotional damage that befalls people who over-indulge in alcohol. I’m not much of a drinker. One or two glasses of wine, or beers, or mixed cocktails, and I’m wasted. I wake up the next day with clogged sinuses, a crashing headache, queasy stomach, and feeling like I have a mouth full of sand. It takes me an entire day to recover. I can smoke pot all day long, sleep soundly, and wake up refreshed and clear-headed the next day. Pot should absolutely be legalized. In my opinion (being a burner for over 25 years now), it’s far less damaging than tobacco or liquor. Now, as to the A**holes who spiked their guests’ cake, I hope they are being appropriately punished. That’s not only socially unacceptable, it’s criminally dangerous.

What do men not know about women?

It upsets me that so many women are using their valuable time and energies to respond to that dope klein. this is becoming his personal woman-bashing forum, and that’s certainly not what I thought this site was going to be about. What say we all get together and request that he be banned from this site?

What do men not know about women?

Please, ladies…..don’t get mad at widdle mr. klein. Pity him. He’s pathetic. He’s obviously a lonely, mal-adjusted woman hater. He’s only here to get a reaction from the good women of Wow O Wow. That’s the only female attention he gets. Now, continue to spew your diarrhea of the mouth mr. k. I need a good laugh.

What do men not know about women?

Why, oh why is this clown permitted to spew his diarrhea of the mouth here amongst decent folk? Please, ladies, don’t get angry at widdle mr. klein. Pity him. He’s pathetic.

What do men not know about women?

Too bad Kaopectate doesn’t treat diarrhea of the mouth.

What scares you most about tax day?

None of the choices was relevant for me. I received my W2 on Friday, February 1st. I did my taxes online the following Monday, and had my money 2 weeks later. I never, ever wait till the last minute.

What part of your body would you prefer to keep hidden?

While I’ve become more comfortable with my body overall as I’ve gotten older, the varicose veins in my legs have gotten so much worse. I absolutely never show my legs above the knee in public.

What advice would you give to a 21-year-old woman?

Um, Ms. Kaur…..good WOMEN get taken too. 21 is too young to get married. Period.

What advice would you give to a 21-year-old woman?

Beautifully said, Ms. Flory. It’s true. Quality men are attracted to confident, successful women. A man who seeks a needy woman is usually needy himself, or a control freak looking for a weak woman to abuse. And the qualities of love don’t include allowing someone to make you feel unworthy of respect. Very well put.

What advice would you give to a 21-year-old woman?

Amen, Ms. Casidy. Wish I had someone like you giving me advice when I was 21! The best advice you could give a young woman - have your own FIRST! You’ve got the rest of your life to get married. Don’t allow yourself to be defined by whether you’re married or not, or what you own with your husband. There’s nothing you can’t do, just do it! And for God’s sake, don’t get pregnant! These are the words of wisdom I’ve been pounding into my daughter’s head for all of her 18 1/2 years: Don’t be like me…..be smarter than that!

Privacy: Is It Yours for the Taking?

I have to agree with Ms. Harrell. It might seem harsh to have little sympathy for the Britneys of the world, but it’s true. She’s not 15 or 18 or 22. She’s closer to 30 than 20. She’s made some spectacularly stupid decisions, and the only one who she can blame is herself. Every time I began to feel sorry for Britney losing yet another battle for custody of her children, there would be pictures of her out partying the night away yet again, getting drunk, making a fool of herself on the same day she showed up late for a hearing. Bye bye sympathy. If it weren’t for the millions of dollars she has to support her mistakes, she’d be living in a homeless shelter. It’s a shame that people like her can’t manage to be GOOD role models for young women - or even for their own children.

I completely agree with Ms. Porter. For many years, I worked in an office environment, and I definitely preferred it when there were more men than women. Other than the occasional spicy, inappropriate comment, it was much less stressful than working in an office full of gossipy, bitchy women. Almost 5 years ago, I gave up the career for which I earned a degree. I now work in the transportation field, and I love love love it. I’m not surrounded by office politics (not that it doesn’t go on, but at least it’s not in my face all day every day), I’m fairly independent, and my job is relatively stress-free. Plus, I earn in 5 or 6 hours what used to take 40+ hours a week to earn. I will never, ever work in an office again.
