Senator Obama was the natural child of a United States Citizen. it doesn’t matter where he was born since that gives him a U.S. Citizen status.

Real american’s are the ones that believe everyone has the right of free speech. If the viewpoint is so “right” why does it have to be shouted…and repeated…and repeated. Do the “masses” just not get it or does the one screaming just unable to sell it ?. People that listen to anyone that makes them “quiver” in fear is a mystery… why?…to feel alive ?…. to feel “in charge” ?… or is it just so their “leaders” (loose term) need followers and can’t obtain them any other way. “Real american” can cope without such “leaders” Free speech includes a responsibility that is generally challenged by those that loudly make a living with their belief in the “black hats vs. white hats” “them vs. us” and the sad shift of so many in the right that attempt to create and justify the evolving “me” party.

Perhaps one of our major problems, especially for the last decade, has been the “ranting” from both sides. Not serious discussion… hysteria. Get a grip everyone and lower the decibels a few ranges to benefit all of us.

Sure… then we can totally reassure those “males” that believe women can never be “bright” enough to truly lead. Just what we need.

We ask to be judged on competency… and she has been judged lacking. Only overprotected and coddled women would ever see this as sexist.

Jacki, The “perfect storm” of a president with this low an approval rate and an economic crisis did the trick. In 2012, she’ll be going after an incumbent which is very difficult unless they really screw up in the first four years. The Republicans are aware of that and will hold off most of their major cuts for the wealthy until year five. They will also be smarter about campaigns and the Republicans always go for the money… Obama just got a little smarter this year knowing what he was going to face with the 527 ads. Go for the candidate that is closest to your beliefs… if Hillary was your choice… McCain really isn’t the answer. Please reconsider.

It would be the sound strategy. You never want the “lightning” at the bottom of the ticket. If you can believe it.. McCain only had a minimal problem with it.

Are we also doing a Starbucks version for those that also like to throw away money ? Oops… Starbucks is closing most of their new locations… Now we just need to get all the votes counted this time.

The “trickle” always happens… it trickles out of the companies with large executive bonuses and shareholder dividends… never jobs and the first cutbacks are the lower paying jobs… not the upper executives. “Cut taxes” has always been the battle cry of the Republicans… we have to do it “or else” “terrible things will happen” “things you can’t imagine” “we know” “think of your children” etc. etc. etc. then they make “the promise” … “for companies to create jobs” That never happens. Year after year…election after election… candidate after candidate.

Even if you don’t like “large government” there should be a law against having a depiction of a “hanging”. If for no other reason than to protect our children.

Just as an interesting note… The “Villages” is the area that has been reported to have had a crowd of “65,000 show up for Sarah Palin” and said it was the fire marshall estimate. FYI -it was an advance estimate. I’m familair with the area and doubt you could pack 30,000 there. At any rate the crowd report was immediately corrected to 25,000. Local newspapers printed 25,000. Note: Fox News was advised by several of us that the crowd was <25,000 but they elected to continue reporting “in wonder” with the original misinformation. Interesting that they advertise “fair and balanced” reporting.

Early voting may someday get candidates to not hold back on any last minute “surprises” that they are planning. In Florida it’s like the weeks of listening to a hurricane approaching.

Well Reagan was older and knew enough to let the brighter people in his party pull the strings. Ms. Palin isn’t there yet but I’m sure even she will learn. I believe that the Republicans should put her up as the candidate every election year… over…and over…and over. It will make the elections easier for the Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and any other party with anyone as a candidate.
