Wow why the venom? I happen to love the confident, colorful and comfortable style of the Ivy League educated First Lady. This is fashion for the 21st Century. Get used to it. Her hair is fabulous as well. And, if I were you, I would watch what I say. A Black woman’s hair is not a subject you want to get into or be heard getting into anywhere near a Black woman. I don’t know what ethnicity you are; but, even other Black women know better than that. For the record, why would anyone copy previous First Ladies? If anything take inspiration and then make it your own. I am done. I refust to allow ignorant comments like yours to steal my joy today. Class is over!

I say party on and then get to work. Sometimes a party is just what we need to pick our spirits up. I turned down tickets to attend the Inauguration Ceremony as I can’t afford it. But, I am glad that some can still afford it. Since there are so many local parties planned I may attend one. I think the Obama Team has done a remarkable job in scaling back the plans and trying to be inclusive.

Santa Baby!!

I think Etheridge’s stance will do more to bring about change than those who refuse to have dialogue at all. I have found that when I engage my hard line Christian friends in dialogue about Gay rights, many of them see the light. We have elected a “centrist” who has promised a seat at the table for all of America. He promised to listen, even when he disagrees. I for one am trying to use that example in my everyday life. Why are some surprised?

It is just you and maybe “your kind”. I don’t mean that in a mean way but only those who think like you. I, for one, have looked at his past and have found nothing that disturbs me so much that I am concerned about the “security” of this country. In fact, I am excited about our future.

Why is this questionable? I am not seeing the connection.
