Celebrities Rejoice for Obama (Video)

EH falling in line is a really big deal!!!

Which Celebrity Is Invited to Barack Obama's Rally Party?

It is not my intention to convert you. There is no accounting for tastes. I remember when hip hop, which includes rap, went mainstream. Folk called it a fad then. We here were 40 plus years later and it is a global phenomenon. As a musician, I am a fan of all genres. I choose to respect all forms of music as articistic expression. I would never demean opera for example by saying it is old and passe. Hip hop fans love and are influenced by all kinds of music. As one with a flair for “Music” you would know that already.

Which Celebrity Is Invited to Barack Obama's Rally Party?

Elaine, I don’t know what you mean by your comment but as a hip hop fan, I am not necessarily offended. What you may be unaware of is the fact that folk from all walks of life, ethnic backgrounds, classes and educational backgrounds grew up in or are fans of hip hop. You see hip hop as a culture is not one thing. It is more than 40 years old and is based in a belief that the majority minority matters. So I will take your comment as a compliment. It means that change is coming. The “people” have spoken. Hip hop is a global movement and impacts the global economy and political mindset as well. For the record, Obama isn’t really into “rap”. But because he is open-minded, he allowed his staff to put some on his IPOD. Perhaps, some folk should take his lead and open their minds as well.

Barack Obama's Grandmother Madelyn Dunham Dies Before Election Day

Ms. Dee, From what I understand, she (Jennifer Hudson) is not attending the public service but will attend the private service. I imagine she didn’t want to create a spectacle. May God bless The Hudson and King family. My thoughts and prayers are with the Obama family as well. His dignity through all of this is noteworthy.

Courtney Cox to Sink Her Claws into ABC's 'Cougar Town'

I am tickled by the reference but must admit that after I turned 40, younger men became attractive to me. After years of dating older and much older men, I have recenlty begun dating younger men. Something happened to me after 40. Suddenly, I had a new and more adventurous attitude about all sorts of things. I am having the time of my life. lol. While I am not sure it is a movement, I have noticed that more and more of my friends are supporting the behavior.

Cindy McCain's Press Secretary Says: 'I've Never Seen Someone So Maligned'

Nice article. Makes her seem “real”. Unfortunately, she lost points with me when she went after Mrs. Obama. She should leave the attack dog role to Palin. I love her outfits though.

Have you either early voted or absentee voted in the 2008 Election?

Yes! I voted early today in Los Angeles County. It felt great. I have never in all of my years working Get Out The Vote Campaigns seen this kind of a response to an election. The line was filled with voters of all demographics. I asked the older gentleman ahead of me if he had ever seen this before and he said he had never seen this many voters in a line on election day. I can only imagine what the line wills look like election day. I encourage each of you to vote early if you can.

Whom do you envy?

I envy people who are focused and disciplined. Those who are able to accomplish everything they set out to do each day and are not distracted by the chirping of birds, the laughter of children or the lyrics of a song. Those that hit the gym no matter what everyday and are able to pass on the chocolate brownies.

Whom do you envy?

I am exactly 5’ 8”. I don’t know why but your envy of women who are 5’ 8” made me laugh out loud. . I needed a good chuckle today.

Florida TV Reporter Turns Up Heat on Biden, Obama Campaign Fuming (Video)

WTH? That was just crazy. I don’t even know where to begin.

Have you ever met a stranger on a plane with whom you've formed a relationship?

Yes, a famous comedian. The conversation spilled into the baggage claim and lasted more than an hour. To this day, he takes my calls to his cell phone. But stuff like that is always happening to me.

Rachel Rules: How New MSNBC Host Has Taken TV By Storm

Rachel does rule! Smart, funny and sensible. I love that her show repeats as I don’t want to miss any of it. She is one of the reasons that my tv is stuck on MSNBC.

Michelle Obama Tells Lesley Stahl: Some Won't Vote for Barack No Matter What

What a Class Act Michelle Obama is!!! When I grow up, I want to be just like her.

Marjorie, Yes, let’s not rehash Freddie/Fannie because I am almost sure you and I differ on this. But I do want to respond to your comment about the markets a year ago. Sometimes, it takes a year for Chickens to come home to roost. When the benefits of greed and faulty mortgage deals are being experienced (a year ago), factor in all the borrowing from global entites that America was doing, billions to fund a maddening war (occupation) in Iraq, let’s just say the hand writing was on the wall. Any Republicans want to point to Fannie/Freddie and their actions as the reason. It is clear to me that the mission of the work was good but that they were engaged in the same type of strategies that many others were allowed to do. In this case, when you point one finger remember how many should be pointed back at yourself. While I agree that Dems didn’t do enough, in my opinion it is years of Republican policies that have led us to this place. America or bet yet its systems are “broken” and are in need of fixing…and dare I say a rebranding. Finally, I appreciate your comments but I have no interest in debating issues not in dispute. We each are entitled to our opinions and I am tolerant of others viewpoints. Thank you for your time and attention. Good day.

Patty E, There must be some name for this disorder in the DSM4. The inability to move beyond an error in thinking to the point of mental illness??? Try as I might to keep an open mind when listening to Palin and Hassellback and their constant pounding on points already disputed just leaves me weary. Even when most of America believes they should move on, they are stuck. And, to quote the young people I work with everyday, “that’s not a good look.” Losing sucks I know but please do it with some dignity and grace.
