I am an Alaskan woman and have lived here nearly 30 years - what exactly do you mean? To the writers of the article - I could care less about the content, but take offense to how you reference law enforcement in Alaska. They are not Alaskan police - they were Alaska State Troopers who arrested her. And please…coppers? You may think you’re coy - I find it offense. I am the wife of a 30 year Alaska State Trooper - please show some respect.

I can’t believe that Sarah Palin was even listed as one of the women listed to be considered for changing the world. Good Lord, this election can’t be over soon enough. I am so sick of seeing this idiots name and face plastered all over in any serious conversations! Ugh!

Marjorie, I sure don’t feel Gen. Powell smashed or bashed either John McCain or Sarah Palin this morning. I have always held high admiration for Gen. Powell and I do feel this was a difficult decision for him and that he truly took great care and thought into this decision. I also believe that Mr. McCain knows that asking Governor Palin to be his running mate was a mistake. There were so many other wonderful, intellectual, seasoned, prepared, dignified women he could have chosen. But smashing and bashing? No, I don’t believe Gen. Powell was guilty of that. And I have to tell you, that while I, as an Alaskan, and a woman, am in no way fond of Gov. Palin…there are so many ways to point out the full totality of why she’s not ready to be the vice president…that smashing and bashing are not even something that need be considered.

Dona, Palin may wish to keep her current job, but we’ll see if we allow her to. In my view she should be impeached. And there are many others who feel the same way - so, we’ll see. I’m embarrassed to admit she is the governor of my state…by better to admit that than to have to endure her in the White House. Now, THAT would be an embarrassment!

Thanks, Margo! I live in Alaska and am just sick every single day that Sarah Palin is out there “stumping”…while she allows the McCain goon squad to take over our state. She and her husband are liars, bullies and let me tell you, that folksy crap she’s spouting….is NOT Sarah Palin.

As an Alaskan and a woman, I would never vote for Sarah Palin. I am praying that they lose, Palin has to come back to Alaska to face the citizens she’s tossed under the bus and treated like crap, so we can impeach her and give her the heave ho. I would like to propose that Greata Van Sustern start builing on to her home to take the Palin clan in, since she’s so obvioulsy blindly in love with them all. It’s so disgusting. Sarah Palin is as qualified to be a heart beat away from the presidency as I am - and believe me, I’m not. she’s a liar. She’s George Bush in drag - worse, actually. And for women?
