Julia, what other kind of exercise do you do? 

I would buy anything but an American car. I’m sick and tired of junk cars and the constant whining from General Motors about their inability to make fuel efficient cars. Toyoto has no problem in putting out fuel efficient cars, but if you ask General Motors to consider it, they act as if the sky will fall and we’ll all go back to riding mules and horse carts. The sooner GM goes under the better.

Mr. Stein seems to be a fairly mediocre apologist for a host of short-sighted public officials. How does he explain the more far-sighted minds in the public arena like Mr. Buffet who foresaw fundamental problems in the country’s financial markets?

I’ll take a “smug,” grating” Obama supporter any day over a self-righteous Republican like a Tom Delay or Newt Gingrich who worships the almighty de-regulated god of the free market. The election may not represent a shift to left; at least it signifies a rejection of the far-right wing.
