Obama has not been in office for a full month and you’re blaming it all on him. I don’t believe he was the one in office in 2007, was he? Let the blame lie with all of us, not just him. Greed, failure to do the job you were paid to do, lack of oversight, and loss of focus on the important stuff caused this.

If they didn’t like what was presented, why didn’t they offer their own solution? All I keep hearing is “We’re not going to work with the Democratic President”. Is that the Republican Mantra? They sure gave Bush whatever he wanted, and look where we are now. And, if everyone actually had done their jobs all along, we would be in a much better position. We need oversight of any dime that is spent, no matter who the sponsor is. The economy has been tanking for at least 6 years and no one was at the helm. Republicans and Democrats are going to have to work together.

Exactly. And we can’t expect a complete turnaround in 100 days, no matter how hard we all work. It will take time and a delicate balance.

A man who owns his own company has a lot of support from his wife — especially one of 50 years. I’m sorry, but I think she knew every underhanded thing he did, and if she didn’t participate in it, at least she ignored it. Just my personal opinion, folks.

I agree. And, they don’t care what you look like or if you’re rich or poor. And, they’re great listeners.

These suits should not have been filed in the first place. Why don’t those people put their energies into fixing what is really wrong?

And, what exactly is a minor role in something that was deemed wrong? I think she needs to head to the unemployment line.

I saw very few Obama for Martin ads. Al Gore was here, as were some of the Senators and other local Democrats. However, there were Robocalls from Obama. It was just voter apathy that gave Georgia back Saxby. He is already saying that he is not going to work across the aisles and work to fix things. So sad. Georgia did end up supporting McCain in the Presidential race. I guess change is not allowed in Georgia.

Sarah Palin was greeted like a Rock Star when she flew in to Atlanta. The voters were lazy when it came to the runoff. It happened because people (black, white, green and purple) did not do what they should have and they failed to vote. He did not win by a landslide. He didn’t think he’d have a problem winning the general election and had a condescending attitude at the beginning of the campaign. I just wish he had lost after his record of rubber stamping bills for GWB. I really don’t feel that he works for Georgia, just for Saxby. But, that’s just my opinion.

I spend time with my dogs and work in the house and yard. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish and how great it makes you feel.

We have had plots by skinheads in Tennessee to kill not only Obama, but blacks in general. At the “rallies” led by Gov. Palin, it was shouted in the crowd by supporters to “Kill Obama”. (Did you read the entire article which we are commenting on?) It is my opinion that this is wrong. Do you not agree? The lemmings in the crowds may take that as an out and out invitation. There has been misinformation provided during this election from both sides. It is my point that we need to stop the hatred, attacks, and start to work together. You do not always get exactly what you want in a Democracy, however, what you have you need to make the best of. Do you not agree? And, by the way, President Elect Obama is not Muslim, nor is he Marxist as was suggested by a Georgia Politician just last week. He is trying to do what is best for the country. The President Elect has also pointed out that there is only one President at a time in the US. His turn to show his ability starts in January. Can we just all work together? The country is in bad shape right now. And, we have just come to the end of 8 years of Republican Reign.

Bush and Cheney were given 8 years to do their damage to the United States. It cannot be fixed in three months by a new President. And, the more hatred and lies that was and is spewed by the Republicans makes me sure that President Elect Obama will have no cooperation. The narrow mindedness needs to end. It is time for cooperation. People, this is the United States. President Obama represents what this country is — a combination of many races. And, he was elected by the majority of the vote and the majority of the Electoral College, unlike President Bush’s first term. Can’t we work to fix things together? And, some of the comments that have been made by people are nothing short of threats against the President Elect. You know, that can be an arrest and jailing offense. It is against the Law. Those narrow minded ones that are doing this must think the laws don’t apply to them.
