Dear WOWOWOW panelists,

I just don’t understand the way you all are doing things these days. First, you ask a very provocative question which you know will meet with great passion. Second, only 3 of the entire panel answered the question. Why not request that at least half the panel help pay for this site by answering some of these tough questions. By having Candice, Liz and Joan answer this question, they lay themselves open to being criticized because they are part of t.v., Hollywood or entertainment in some form. I’d really like to see some of the people who are not "in the industry" give their beliefs, thoughts, opinions on this Roman Polanski issue. Why not?

For you to have made that remark shows a deplorable lack of knowledge about Candice. You are either too young or too ignorant to know about her career. You must live in a fantasy world yourself for you to mention Murphy Brown being ashamed of what you perceive to be Candice’s view about RP… in other words, you give Murphy Brown the status of a real person, whereas she was just another character in Candice’s career. I hope I get to see what Holland Taylor finally puts together for Ann Richards. I have seen Holland in so many sitcoms on t.v. She is so very talented.

I also want to see what Joy Behar has in her new show tonight. I think she’s so talented, witty and very smart.

Welcome Brenda. I too have found all of the women on the View to have a “place” there. Barbara hired them to have a diverse group and she’s accomplished that!

Joni, "mean-spirited" and like "biting the hand" that feeds WOW. I just don’t understand why the mean-spirited ones are not tagged more often. They repeat themselves over and over. This is just another one of the threads they have trounced.

I agree with you, Purple Moon, we are not "post racial". Hate comes in many forms, not just white against black, black against white. As the Southern Law Poverty Center shows, there are hate groups all over this country, in just about every state.

You’re new to this site, Mr. Bug? Ok, I’ve been on WOW since April ‘08 and so has Mel. I will tell you Mel is not the site detective just as deber doesn’t have a book in the Bible named after her. Mel has been here a long time so she has the knowledge that you don’t in that some people do leave and come back later using a different avatar and pseudonym. Anyone can do it if you follow WOW’s rules. If a poster has good points to make and does so with a lot of enthusiasm, s/he gets called "DeBurca", which in my humble opinion is the ultimate compliment on this site! Mel is neither rude nor a detective. She’s making her points known just as you have and just as deber has after almost every other post on this thread. Lady Bugs are valuable and I wish you well, but I would suggest, as new as you are, that you stay within the realm of things you know about rather than speculate and hmmmmmmmmmm about things of which you know nothing! Unless, of course, you have come back as someone else who used to be here, like maybe Elaine?

Marjorie, That’s the problem, you don’t even know what it is. Do your research, look it up. Diversity training would have already taught you what it means and we, who are of the Caucasian skin color, have “white privilege”.
