Debbie, I’m glad you’ve written to both ABC/the show, etc. re your complaints and compliments. I too love Joy and Whoopi and their sense of humor. We just have to agree to disagree with you re Sherri. I watched her on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and loved the way she played her role there. I’ve learned to accept Elizabeth because I’ve seen the respect the others give her. I also respect the fact that Barbara Walters started the show and has a good feel for choosing people to sit in those chairs. I don’t like the word "knocked-up" either. I evidently wasn’t watching that day but nevertheless, I agree with you about that wording. I have a feeling, no matter how you and I feel about that wording, it’s come into vogue now. I won’t ever use it myself, but I’ll understand what people are saying when they do use it.

As for your feelings being "a woman thang" and thinking I am male… guess again, I’m very much female and don’t think my feelings about The View are either male or female driven. I think they are just opinions, like everything else. I agree, you’re entitled to your opinion and I am too. Best to you.

James, you’re such a sweet guy. You’re assuming all of us would qualify to go to some heavenly paradise. My kids are already grown up, I just want them to keep growing. I just have a different idea on which plane I’d like to see them growing and at least I’m sure of this plane because I had them on this plane… I know this plane…

And by the same token, how are you going to see the Lions win in a heavenly paradise? There will be no football anywhere else but down here… you know that’s true. Not once is football mentioned in the Bible! Neither are the Detroit Lions. Now, there ARE lions mentioned, but not from Detroit! You better want to stay around here to see it. I’d better not hear you trying to get away!

E Stone, you’re right about the difference… that being, Whoopi is not an idiot. It is curious to me also, that we can bring up tangential topics like The View just to get off the topic at hand, but since we have, I’ll take Whoopi as a role model any day over Palin. BTW, if people here can comment on the women on The View, it is apparent they watch it. If they watch it, they are viewers of The View. Why don’t these viewers write to the program to complain about what they don’t like, instead of bringing it up here? If they don’t write to the program, why do they keep watching it? It makes no sense to watch a program just so you (the generic you) can bitch about something. Too much time on their hands?
