I agree with you, DeBurca obj. And there’s a reason I want to know who Mr. wOw is, just like "drawing back the curtains of the Wizard of Oz". It makes a difference in the context of who’s speaking. He may say this or that about whomever, but if he (or she) is one of the panelists on the website above, it makes a difference. Why the anonymity if he’s to be taken seriously? I know he’s slammed Palin and now talks about Obama. Isn’t anyone else interested in this "ghost writer"? We as posters have a right to be anonymous but if he’s on the panel, let’s hear about it.

James, I wish I could tell you what’s happening outside my neighborhood. I’ve been caring for a sick friend and it’s hard to get out and enjoy what’s out here. There is usually something going on but not like in Grand Rapids. Now, I did take pictures Sat. of my cat catching a snake, but I don’t think anyone wants to know about that since she only caught it because I ran out of Fancy Feast and hadn’t gotten to the store to stock up. By that night, I had the food, so she hasn’t caught anything since (not that I know of). I’m sure the only thing coming up of interest soon will be the Fourth of July pageantry all around. I’ll get out more so I can provide pictures of my community events. I’ll never be able to top yours, so don’t worry about the competition!

Just wanted to add, Irish Eyes NY, that I already knew and defined it in my own posting what this BushCare program was all about. Why would I bring this up except in context of what I suspected was a put-down of Obama? Frannie Em also helped me understand later that the term "ObamaCare" was started a couple of weeks ago by the media.

Would you support a tax on those who receive "gold-plated" health insurance from their employer?

I’m with you, Kermie, What is "gold-plated" health insurance? Can anyone tell me what that kind of insurance entails and who is getting it? I don’t know anyone who is a "regular" everyday person who has that kind of optimal insurance. I have good insurance but it certainly doesn’t cover everything. I have a friend who has "Blue Advantage" but has to pay out of pocket her $650 premium each month. She had to get some ointment (a regular sized toothpaste tube) for psoriasis the other day which would have normally cost $500!!! Her out-of-pocket expense was $101!!! She’s not wealthy. She’s on disability! So please, someone define "gold-plated health insurance".

And yes, give Obama a chance. Hillary tried…it didn’t take. Bush added some help…. but overall, we’ve got to make health insurance available for everyone. It is or should be a right of every one of us as American citizens.

Kelly, I agree with you re using the term "dogfight". Liz could never have meant it in any other way besides what you have said. It is probably that some of us who "are older" know that term for what it has meant in the past. It’s true that animal lovers (and I am one too) may not have understood it, but I would never think Liz would make a remark or say a word that would makes us believe she doesn’t like dogs, cats or any of the other animal kingdom species.
