My Comments (525 so far…)

One study from Yale says that women are evolving to become shorter and fatter. In recent years have you shrunk or gotten fatter?

Have maintained my 5 ft 10 inch height well into my sixties but noticed my feet are getting bigger (swollen?).  Pretty soon I will be wearing shoeboxes instead of the shoes.  As for weight gain, I am creeping up about 5 lbs a year even though I try and move around as much as I can.

Old age isnt for sissies.

Candice Bergen: An Alternative Punishment for Roman Polanski

I mentioned in one of the posts that he should pay her and also do about 2000 hours of community service.  My point was that because of his celebrity he might get off without doing any jail time because the jails are so full of murderers and drug cases that they let celebrities go after a week or so.  If he did community service here in the U.S. he would be embarrassed and pay his debt to society.  If, as had been originally suggested, he do house arrest, he could still do work at home so I didnt like that suggestion.

The rest of us would get jail time right off the bat and wouldnt have been allowed to leave the Country.  We would have had our passports taken away right then and there so I am glad they have waited patiently all these years to get him.  There is more to this story than meets the eye and I am wondering if the powers that be want all that to come to light.  It will be interesting to see how this resolves itself.

Mr. wOw Salutes a Bride

Ah, Mr. Wow, I love my landline also.  Just got upgraded to unlimited long distance which probably makes most chuckle as to what took me so long but I do love to chat without cutoffs and static.  From what little I know about tweets is that you dont have to be a tweeter to read the on going tweets.  Modern day life is so intrusive these days that one can eavesdrop without participating and that sounds mildly kinky.

Mr. wOw Salutes a Bride

When I saw the headline Mr. Wow salutes a bride, I thought perhaps he had gotten himself hitched.  But I see he was referring to the beautiful Ivanka.  And he knows what she had for breakfast the morning after that she tweeted.  How does he know this,  he must have read her tweet which means he is just as bad for reading it as she is for taking the time to write it.  Honestly, Mr. Wow, deep  down inside you love to snoop and probably were just dying to see what was on the mornings tweets.

The Photographs of Jessica Lange

Jessicas pix are lovely but there is a certain melancholy and loneliness to them like someone on the outside looking in.  That is why pix are so personal and I think she portrayed her feelings in them.

Cemeteries Dying Out: Mr. wOw's Plan B

Some crematories have a weight limit for cremation.  In this day and age of obesity, if a person weighs more than 280 lbs they may not be accepted.

Joan Ganz Cooney's Real and Dream Theme Songs

Joan, I totally agree.  We spent so much time not hurting feelings that we went virtually unnoticed.  I like your choices of songs.

Joan Ganz Cooney: 'This Is Where We Came In'

Joan, I remember the phrase this is where we came in quite well and it brought back memories.  Sometimes it was quite interesting to see the end of a movie and figure out why it ended that way and then see the beginning and put it all together.  I do that sometimes with books.  If the book is taking its sweet time I read the end to see if getting to the end is worth reading the whole book.

As for missing certain brands, it is more certain products I miss that I dont even remember the brands but wondered where the products went.  Now getting something from the supermarket is always fun because it might be the only time I get to taste the item before it is gone.  Shelf space is expensive.

Candice Bergen: An Alternative Punishment for Roman Polanski

Unless someone is a murderer or, maybe a seller of drugs, there isnt much room in the jails for crimes and the perp is released early.  If the person of a crime is made to do community service and pay an even bigger fine, then they have to do the sentence and the media watches their every move. If he doesnt compensate the woman (with interest) then he should to jail. Or, maybe jail at night and work during the day.  I would rather see this than a a week or so with time off for good behavior.

Should Roman Polanski go to prison?

As I said on another comment page, hit him in the pocketbook and make him do a lot of community service.  This would embarrass him and make him realize he is just like everybody else.  House arrest would still allow him to conduct business and serve no purpose.

Candice Bergen: An Alternative Punishment for Roman Polanski

If Roman Polanski had house arrest he could still conduct business.  He should have to compensate the lady he raped with a lot of money and he should do community service for 2000 hours.  That would embarrass him beyond belief.  Sitting in jail wouldnt accomplish anything, embarrassing him would.  I picked 2000 hours, 1000 for the crime and 1000 for the time he didnt face his punishment.
