Women Now Having Babies Later in Life, Are More Choosy About One-Night Stands
One night stands are still talked about based on the attractiveness of the individual. What about STDs, what about AIDS. They dont care what you look like, they are opportunistic infectors. One would hope a little more care would be taken before engaging is a one nighter just based on looks.
How many nights each week do you currently cook at home?
S A I guess we have to thank Thomas Edison for the use of electricity. I would be in dire straits without my plug in appliancies. France is known for its food (and wine). Do they use the big chain grocery stores a lot or are they sticking to the small, individual mom and pops?
Liz Smith on Woodstock: I Never Had Time to Think Much About Hippies, Dope, Rock 'n' Roll
Liz, I know what you mean. I never got close to the upper middle class but had to work and concentrate on taking care of myself. Woodstock was just another event to me until much later when I realized how it was a big deal in those days. Guess living in San Francisco was an on-going Woodstock with musicians strumming guitars everywhere and getting more flowers (more like weeds actually) given to me around Haight Street. It was so refreshing for awhile until the drugs made zombies of some of the kids and the free clinic was always crowded.
Wow, that was so long ago and yet it seems like last week.

The best thing ever is home delivery of groceries from a large chain. This way I can have REAL food without having to try and figure out how to get some ingredients without a bus trip to the BIG store. Have found prepared meats and one pkg makes two to three meals and offers variety for the single cook. Can have corned beef, a package of frozen brussel sprouts, instant mash potatoes and I have a home-cooked meal. I know that makes some of you cringe but in the old days it meant cooking each item separately and, just for me, that was too much work for a home-cooked meal.
Am so glad I live in a time of microwaves, frozen food and prepared dinners as I remember the old days and was ecstatic when meals came in tin foil that could be put in the oven for half an hour. Ahhhhh progress.
