Doesn't Anyone Care What I Have to Say? by Sybil Adelman Sage

For some reason I got an image of a person who is the matriarch of her house and then walks outside and immediately is part of the masses and no one is any different than anyone else and everyone is part of the whole and the whole is part of the universe.  And the beat goes on.  And, no I havent been smoking anything.

How important is sexual fulfillment to your overall happiness?

Unfortunately, men of a certain age never had to use condoms and dont want to start now.  However, seniors are getting aids at an alarming rate so if I go to the home, I will stick to playing cards  :-)

India: No Longer Taking Baby Steps, by Shibani Joshi

Lizzie, you made me laugh as I have the same problem understanding some people that speak fast and have an accent I cant understand easily.  They think Im dense and I think they need locution lessons.  Definitely a no-win situation.

Hadnt heard that ESPN admitted it was one of their employees that taped her.  Hope they fire the creep and, if not, hope she sues the track shoes off ESPN.

Obama: 'The Stars Are Aligned' to Pass Health Care Reform Now (Video)

Just some thoughts, first taxing millionaires a little more will still let them be millionaires.  In my entire 40 year working life I never made ONE million and paid taxes on the gross.  Second, I heard Obama say they want to cut the donut hole for seniors drugs in half.  That would be wonderful.  Too bad they arent saying they would eliminate it all together.  Third, they want doctors not to duplicate tests and for test records to be available to all doctors to prevent this.  Now, I have to call and ask, sometimes several times, for copies of tests to give to other doctors I see.  My MRI Imager gives me the X-rays to carry to my doctor which is OK by me.  To many these might be little things but important to me.

From Diane Sawyer to Jennifer Aniston: Paul Podlucky Picks the Best Summer Hairstyles of 2009

Have been dying my hair for years and now my roots are growing in white so I dont have to touch up as often.  There are some benefits in aging but not many.

It always makes me laugh that there is some hairstyle that is the style of the season when there are only so many hairstyles and what goes around comes around. Wear it the way it looks best on you and ignore all the hype.

Obama's health-care plan: Are the 40 million uninsured the least of our problems? Is Obama starting at the wrong end?

Andrea, I will read all the sites posted today as this is an area that interests me a lot.  As for co-pay, I meant what I paid for tests after my two insurances paid their share.  It used to be I paid, at the most $20 after the insurance companies paid and now I have to pay $99 for an X-ray procedure after agreed pricing discounts and two insurance coverages. Just had an MRI and that is probably going to be at least $5000 and am getting nervous as to what I will have to pay for that.  My next stop is the 20 questions re Debers link.

Lila, a walk-in clinic next to an emergency room or in conjuntion with sounds like a great idea.  A lot of people are having trouble getting a primary care physician these days and, as I recall, some of these kinds of clinics were started in San Francisco but, since I moved, I dont know if that is still the case.  And, I noticed, that primary and specialty doctors that I see are all over 55 and most over 60 so that has me nervous.  Hope they stay active for many more years.

I dont know much about immigration but I thought that a person had to have a sponsor to get into the Country.  If that is the case, why isnt the sponsor responsible for the health care of the individual until they become a citizen?  And, as for illegal aliens, why do they get welfare?  They should have to prove they have green cards or something.  And, when the cards expire, they should not get any welfare.  Isnt that how it is supposed to work?  All I know is that to get on disability, I had to submit papers and so did my doctors, until they were SICK of seeing ME .  So why is it so hard for a natural born citizen to get benefits and an illegal alien can walk in the back door and get benefits?   Talk about loopholes.

Andrea, I woke up this morning with all these sites to check out so I will be busy this a.m.   And, I agree that we should have the option of keeping our insurance plans if we want.  Lately, I noticed that my co-pay has gotten a lot higher, even with secondary insurance and the adjusted cost of a procedure.  If that is going to be the norm, then people will have to seriously consider a national health plan as it may get to be way too expensive to stick to personal insurance.  I will have to read and listen today to see if I can make sense of it all.

Frannie, first of all that is the nickname my mom liked.  Second, you brought up a good point.  Here we are building planes we dont need and our military needs body armor, toilets and use troughs to clean up in. In this age of e-mail, twitter and sites like this people are aware of these problems and  issues like this cant be silenced any more.  Our men and women in the military need the best possible conditions  in impossible situations.  Lets hope someone pays attention.
