I vote for McCain for “sexist of the year.” He used her then turned away from her when she failed. If he had done his work, she would not have been selected. He would have lost with dignity if he had chosen a real contender.

Sheryl, I completely agree with you about Michelle Obama. She is a beautiful, smart, and classy woman. She will make her family her top priority. She will be a gracious hostess in the White House to people from around the world. Whatever projects she takes on, she will do well.

I saw Pinocchio when I was 4. I remember being terrified when the boys started growing donkey ears and tails. I was afraid they wouldn’t be able to change back into boys. I worried about that for a long time. My parents didn’t really explain things to us. They just talked to each other about what the Catholic church would say about them taking us to the movie.

I think both women advanced the cause of other women in very different ways. Hillary was a great role model for all of us; so strong, and smart, and witty and concerned about the people of our country, all the people. Palin was a good example of what not to do as a woman applying for this important job. Don’t think a pretty face, without knowledge of the job, is enough to be vice president of the United States. Don’t think denying women rights to their own bodies will get you far. Don’t rile your fans up so much with lies, that they want to kill your opponent. Don’t steal from your boss. Be thoughtful about the consequences of your actions. Don’t underestimate the internet. I give them both credit for trying, in very different ways.
