Obama Said to Have Picked Eric Holder as Attorney General

Char Star writes, “Holder is a good choice! He’s against spying & torture.” Does not matter, Obama can sweep those away with executive orders. Here is an objective article on Holder. Readers will discover he is not quite what he is promoted to be: http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2008/11/19/holder/index.html I find both his gun control stance and his opposition to the death penalty to be disturbing; disarm law abiding citizens and do not execute those who kill us. This sincerely concerns me. Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Marjorie continues to delight me, “Full of hope and change you can believe in.” Jeesh.. Marjorie I had to wipe dripping sarcasm from my monitor screen after reading your comment. Hope and change, uh huh. To date, no change. I suppose we can still hope. So far, Obama is recycling the Clinton administration with a sprinkle of Jimmy Carter peanuts to add some crunch. As you know, Marjorie, a major party plank Obama used for his campaign is “change.” He has broken his promise to America to bring in fresh faces and fresh ideas to effect change. With Obama having already broken one his most important promises, I suspect there is reason for us to not be all that hopeful. I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution Smile and grin at the change all around me Pick up my guitar and play Just like yesterday Then I’ll get on my knees and pray We don’t get fooled again Don’t get fooled again No, no! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Meet the new boss Same as the old boss (The Who) Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Starry Nite quips, “You are so smart and funny just like groucho marx. Are you chief of the Women ?” Say, have I told you about the time I shot an elephant in my pajamas? No, I am not the chief of women, I am the Queen of Pots and Pans, formerly Princess of Poopy Diapers and Snotty Noses. Reminds me of a story. I am teaching our loving and agreeable girl how to blow her nose. She is about two or three and has one of those snot bubbling, nose booger hanging colds. “Child, blow your nose,” while holding a tissue to her nose, after showing her how to blow with my own nose, “blow your nose just like momma.” She turns her head back and forth, “Me do! Me do!” I blow through my nose, “No, no, like this, just like momma,” we try again. I cannot even touch her nose with her tissue, “Me do! Me do!” By now, she has a big slimy green juicy booger hanging from her nose, which I pick off quickly using her tissue. She is enraged, “Me do! Me do!” I try a few more times; no dice, no snot. “Alright, fine then, blow your own nose,” and I wad up her tissue, big booger and all, then toss her tissue at her. She picks up her wadded tissue, carefully unfolds and opens her tissue. With talent, she picks out her big booger from her tissue then promptly shoves her big booger back up into her nose. I am mad. She looks at me, grins, then holds her tissue to her nose and blows like a proper little lady. She holds her tissue out and there is that big booger back in her tissue, “Me do! Me do!” Yeah, she is just a tad bit headstrong and ornery, like her momma. Starry, when you, or other people, step out under the limelight on the stage of life, you make a freewill choice to subject yourself to both praise and critique from those out in the Peanut Gallery. You are accountable for your actions and some will remind you of your accountability. Our girl reminded me she is quite capable of blowing her own nose, but she did not enjoy a sufficient vocabulary to tell me this. She held me accountable for my assuming her to be less capable. I was in the wrong, just as wrong as people of high social status assuming those of our unwashed masses to be less capable. I am rather snotty, yes? We are not snotty nosed brats. We are adults, presumed to be responsible adults. You and I are adults. Margo is an adult along with Candice, Liz and even Whoopi. Our participation here is by freewill choice. We are willingly stepping out under the limelight. You and I, this limelight does not shine quite as bright upon us. Others are constantly under a hot harsh limelight. My expectation is those who seek the limelight are thick skinned enough to handle someone periodically poking them with a sharp stick and thin skinned enough to appreciate a gentle pat on the back. If not, you are bound to booger things up. Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

What media hoax or lie are you still trying to get over?

Mandy Young comments, “factcheck.org is nonpartisan, nonprofit….” Interesting comment, Mandy. Many months back I researched this Fact Check outfit and discovered they are “arm’s length” linked to Barack Obama. This perked my interest, I started checking facts presented. My research yields Fack Check works at presenting a balanced viewpoint but double checking their facts presented about Republicans, I found what they present is less than factual and facts presented about Democrats are overly supportive. Looking at Fact Check adminstration, a bit of Democratic bias. Looking at contributing writers and especially research assistants, very clear bias to the left. I find Fact Check displays a clear left leaning bias. I do not trust this organization to present truth. Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

F P adds much reader value, “Watch where you land—it’s your ass.” Correct me if I am wrong, you are the famous “Frank” of this blog, yes? Dang! What a work of art is your parody. You have gifted me with a smile and some giggles, and I do not even know you. Thank you. You catch the big three being grilled for their flying into our nation’s capitol, each aboard their own luxury private jet? I read one report for one excutive, I think the GM boy, his flight to testify cost his company twenty grand. I suppose a Budget rent-a-car is out of the question for those boys. Those democrats on Capitol Hill want us taxpayers to bailout boys flying around in luxury private jets? I am with you, toss those bozos out at ten-thousand feet with a martini but no golden parachute. I read an interesting comparison a few weeks back. This trillion dollars in bailout money for Wall Street, our government could have bought a home for every American family and have money leftover. I mean pay cash for a home for every family in America, and still have money remaining. Can you imagine the economic stimulus of American families suddenly having no mortgage payment to make? I bet this would add a trillion dollars a year in spending to our American economy. Thanks for your wonderful sarcasm, very entertaining! Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Margo writes, “Excuse me?” There is no excuse for you. * demure smile * Margo adds without first doing her homework, “I beieve it was the government who made many of you casino-owning Americans. And rich ones.” You hold on there you red headed city slicker. Our government did not make possible our Indian casinos. We American Indians made this possible. This is our industry with no or very little help from our government. However, our government has its greedy hand deep in our pockets grubbing around for whatever money can be grabbed. Some quick statistics from 2002 - 2003 years: “…total revenues of approximately $15.9 billion.” “…hospitality, restaurant and entertainment…$1.8 billion….” “…created almost 500,000 jobs.” “…generated $4.7 billion in Federal taxes….” “…reduced Federal government unemployment benefits and welfare payments by $1.2 billion.” “…generated $1.6 billion in state government revenue….” “…generated more than $100 million for local governments….” “…build basic community infrastructure, such as schools, hospitals, roads and water and sewer systems…police and fire protection, education, health care, housing, child and elder care, cultural preservation….” http://www.indiangaming.org/info/Final_Impact_Analysis.pdf You claim we American Indians are becoming wealthy thanks to our Federal government? You have this backwards, Margo. Easy to see we American Indians are helping to bailout our government and helping our American peoples regardless of ethnic background. We American Indians are contributing a thousand times more to America than our country is contributing to us. We are working for America, all peoples of America, which includes you Margo; you, personally, are enjoying benefits of our American Indian hard work. None of us American Indians are becoming wealthy off casinos. This is a complete myth and I am disappointed you have not performed your homework to discover truth. Those numbers I cite are from 2002 - 2003 years. You can almost, not quite, but almost double those revenue numbers for more recent times. We are doing this on our own. We are tending to our own and we are tending to your own. We are hard working Americans contributing much to our country, despite how we are treated. A four part series for you Margo and for readers who want to learn truth about how my peoples are being treated. This is one of very many sad stories, heartbreaking stories. This series is a “must read” for truth seekers: http://www.denverpost.com/lawlesslands Spend a half hour or so reading that Denver Post report; you will be shocked, absolutely shamed. Hey! You readers want to learn more truth? Research Jack Abramoff. His story will provide a good notion of how our government views my peoples. Ok, Margo, you tell me again how my peoples are becoming wealthy off Indian Gaming. We are doing our part to benefit our country and benefit our American peoples. Are you? Oh yeah, Groucho Marx, his brothers, they are all American heroes to me, they are my admired role models. I love the Marx brothers! You have problem with this, Margo? Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Developing: Obama Girls Attending Georgetown Day School? (Update)

Merrell G comments, “You are just so so frigin’ biased.” I like to think of myself as having my own mind, having my own personal convictions. I like to think of myself as walking the talk. Merrell continues, “You say you are wealthy.” We are multimillionaires born to poverty on a rural Oklahoma farm, yes. Merrill adds, “…are you gonna send your kid to a shitty school….” Our girl is an independent grown woman, today. She is a clinical psychologist out of Stanford and USC. She worked her way through college as we expected of her, as we did ourselves. Oh sure, we tossed in a little help here and there and she repaid us through hard physical work. Each summer break from her public school education, I hauled her back to Oklahoma for the two of us to live with my Choctaw relatives. She worked her summers. She plowed behind a mule, worked rows of corn, slopped hogs, milked cows, helped butcher hogs and even enjoyed helping us catch wild boars leaving her bitten, bruised and crying. She survived just fine, and today she cherishes those experiences. When in her teens, I hauled her, each summer, to an Indian reservation in northern New Mexico to live and learn. Her experiences there were very unique and much more harsh than in Oklahoma. Probably her best experience was learning to become a good horseback rider and learning how to herd and rope in wild horses. She ate dirt many times, she enjoyed her share of bruises and hurts. She also cherishes those experiences. Public school, darn right she attended public schools. This is where she learned how to get along with all types of people and learned of reality. She is a stronger woman and a better woman for her learning humility within these blackboard jungles we call public schools. Our family, we are not shrinking violets. We are tested, we are strong, we stand on our own two feet, and we have minds of our own. Merrell closes, “start by being a thinking being. then post.” Oh brother. Practice what you preach (Obama voice) “sweetie.” Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Dana Jae comments, “[Obama]…you can bask in the knowing that he’s doing this for you…to make your life better….” This is precisely what is wrong with America. This is pointing a finger of blame at others, this is not learning, this is being dependent upon others for your lifestyle and well being. You are expressing an “Obama Welfare” attitude shared by millions of Americans, all across our country. Not only Americans, but also zillions of people around world, who are chanting, “Obama is the Black Messiah!” Our family never has and never will depend on our government for our well being. We take full responsibility for ourselves and expect all others to do the same. We will and are earning our way through life. Screw the government. Our government has never done much of anything for Americans. Obama will not do much of anything. McCain will not do much of anything. Nobody within our dysfunctional government will do much of anything. A majority of Americans are just as dysfunctional. “Oh Glory Be! Obama is gonna send us a welfare check. We are saved!” Mule manure. Margo ironically asks, after four marriages, “Do you people EVER learn?” Heck no. Americans have only learned to be dependent on government handouts. This is disgusting. Americans need to learn to depend on themselves, not our government. …and we need to learn to help other Americans who are having a hard time while holding back our taxpayer support for our dysfunctional government. Reminds me of a story about learning. We are quite young, my husband is just past the twenty-five mark, I am still a teenager and we have our baby girl. We have managed to make our way from Oklahoma to California, we are working hard to escape poverty. For breakfast, I fix him a scrambled egg, warmed over mash potatoes with a splash of chicken gravy, a slice of toast and cornflakes in a bowl. No milk in our fridge. I mix up some tap water and Ovaltine, then pour this over his cornflakes while he is eating. Of course, he asks, “What is this?” I tell him, “Cornflakes, Kellogg cornflakes.” He looks at me, “But you’re supposed to pour milk on cereal.” “We can’t afford milk this week,” and I busy myself mixing a bit of water with warmed over mash potatoes to feed our girl, to be washed down with breast milk. My boy takes to eating his Ovaltine cornflakes and tells me, “You know, this is the best cereal I have ever eaten.” With this said, he gives me a loving stroke or two on my big butt, “and you’re the best housewife I could ever have.” Ovaltine cornflakes, this was the cure for our economic woes. Ovaltine cornflakes cured our family’s economic woes way back when. Ovaltine cornflakes can cure America’s economic woes, today. Well.. and maybe a whack of warmed over mash potatoes splashed with two day old chicken gravy, or mother’s milk. Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Marjorie responds to my question, “Do any Americans ever learn?” Our friend Marjorie responds, “I think the answer is NO.” Majorie, girlfriend, you are just as ornery as this annoying red skinned woman! How annoying this is to have you express truth! Nonetheless, some of us have learned and do learn. You are one, Marjorie. Mommy Dearest is another. There is also Star and Sibelle, along with a number of others. We do learn and we are a good reflection upon our parents and our children are a good reflection upon us. I am not about to write we are high intellectuals nor really all this smart. I will write people like you and I, Marjorie, are simply responsible. We have a lot of common sense and we take responsibility for ourselves and our families. We dream, but we are not dreamers. We pay attention to the price of milk and we pay attention to how many loose coins we have in our pocketbooks. We know when milk is more than we can afford, we will do just fine drinking tap water. Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Margo Howard to Republicans: Don't You People EVER Learn?

Mommy Dearest adds some reality, “…wasn’t it Bill Clinton that signed legislation that permitted credit default swaps and rescinded Glass-Steagall?” Yep. This crisis in our financial sector can be traced right back to Clinton, along with both democrats and republicans of Capitol Hill and the House. This financial crisis also traces right back to Obama and his ACORN efforts to have all people in homes no matter the cost nor risk. Our current idiotic mess also traces right back to Americans who are financially irresponsible; living on credit. We are not good Americans unless we have a big home, a big SUV, a big screen televison, a big swimming pool and a debt bigger than we can ever repay. I am annoyed by this camp pointing a finger of blame, annoyed by that camp pointing a finger of blame and annoyed by Americans pointing a finger of blame at everyone but themselves. What do you think of Warren Buffett's suggestion that we buy big cars now because they are so cheap?

Reminds me of a fun incident today. My favorite petro station, a really nice guy is the owner, works hard, keeps his place clean, spotless bathrooms. I am fixing to pay, he is squating down trying to remove something from his carpet. I have to ask. He explains and points, “Chewing gum.” A big wad of chewing gum is pressed into and smeared around on his carpet. You have to wonder what kind of person would spit out gum on anothers carpet. Probably white trash. “You silly boy, go over there to your ice machine, grab some ice cubes then rub that gum until ice cold. You will be able to peel it off in one piece.” His is doubtful but fetches ice. I help him a bit, we take turns rubbing with his ice, “Ok, slip a fingernail under one edge and lift.” He does, chewing gum peels right up, neatly, in one piece. Ice makes chewing gum hard and water breaks the “sticky” bond. Have gum in your hair from falling asleep while chewing gum? Rub this gum with ice for a bit, and this gum will almost fall right out of your hair. Simple physical laws, you know. Will not improve your gas mileage, though. Not sure I can connect this to Warren Buffet. I suppose I could write when things get hot and sticky, chill out; this cures many things. Warren has been making a lot of investment mistakes lately. He is losing billions of dollars on paper. Perhaps his advice to buy big cars is an attempt to save his massive investments in General Motors and Conoco Oil. Interesting, if we taxpayers bail out General Motors, we will also be bailing out Warren Buffet. Do you think we taxpayers should rescue Warren Buffet? Something ain’t right about using our tax money to bail out the richest man of our world. You suppose Warren is bending Obama’s ear or sticking wads of bubble gum in Obama’s ears? Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

What do you think of Warren Buffett's suggestion that we buy big cars now because they are so cheap?

Emcye Edwards requests, “…if anybody here knows why this can or cannot work, please bring it on!” (fuel saver scam) Emcye, you will benefit by looking at the long, very long criminal history of Dennis Lee all across America, including serving prison time for fraud. Almost all charges are fraud, along with a sundry list of writing bad checks, drugs, forgery, theft, pyramid scams…. Dennis Lee is selling snake oil. This boy suckered Pat Robinson out of 150 grand in a pyramid scam. All he is doing is having you dump an octane booster in your gas tank, adding a bit of hydrogen gas through your air filter and preheating your gasoline, all of which, combined, will reduce the lifetime of your engine by about one-half. His scam will overheat and destroy your engine in short order. During his video presentation, I counted a half dozen of his claims which violate some of the most simple physical laws. Other words, he is lying. A rather comical claim is his magnetic something or other, forget what he calls this device. Claims this will “ionize” your gasoline. Whatever, does magnetism work on gasoline? He will back in jail fairly soon and will be facing a lot of civil litigation. Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation

Candice Bergen: What Murphy Brown Would Have Said About Sarah Palin

Maize James comments in part, “…Not to mention the willingness of reputable news journals, such as NEWSWEEK, that participated in spewing the negative rhetoric….” There are no “major” reputable news journals, newspapers, news television shows nor reputable news journalists. Does not matter if left leaning or right leaning or whacked out talking heads like Rush Limbaugh. Those days of Walter Cronkite and truthful reporting are long past. All major news sources are guilty as all git out for producing slanted biased sensationalism Yellow Journalism. In this sense, our American mainstream media robbed us of our right to vote; our mainstream media decided the outcome of our presidential election before a single vote was cast. Good of you, Maize, to expand on your thoughts. I better understand your point of view and you do make valid points. Understand this, just the slightest hint of censorship sends me off on a ranting rage. Mixed bag here. Sarah can either ride this wave of popularity and infamy, keep her name a household word, or allow this fever pitch to die down then regain her news attention on down the road. In her high heel red shoes, I would be whipping America up into a frenzy. Most certainly I would be ripping apart our mainstream media and doing all I can to have heads roll. Sarah has a very legitimate complaint about her treatment by our mainstream media, as do all Americans. I would not allow this issue to be placed on the back burner. Consider this. Our mainstream media covered up a lot of news about Obama. This we know. While Obama is president, what information will our mainstream media hide from America? I want to know what is really going on. I do not want to know some sugar coated media version of truth. This mess we are in today is a result of a lack of ethics on the part of all our leaders and a result of corruption amongst all our leaders. Same can be said of our mainstream media. Our American mainstream media today is just as lacking in ethics and just as corrupt. We insist Americans become well informed voters and insist we vote wisely. How is this to be accomplished while our mainstream media is pumping out Yellow Journalism and deceit? What point is there to voting while our mainstream media decides the outcome of elections? This is not an issue of Obama nor McCain nor other political players. This is an issue of a lack of truth in reporting by our mainstream media. I do not want Sarah to be quiet, I do not want these issues to fall to the wayside, I do not want people to stop talking about Sarah. These issues surrounding Sarah are much too important to ignore. She is an icon. Nonetheless, Sarah will fall quiet, perhaps while making plans. People will stop talking about her. Our mainstream media will continue pumping out Yellow Journalism garbage and, in four years, our mainstream media will decide who will be our next president. This angers me. I value my vote, greatly. Thank you, Maize, for expanding on your thoughts. I better understand now. Okpulot Taha Choctaw Nation
