wOw Reports: What News Matters to You – And Why?
What news matters to me, (in no particular order) : The beginnings of reporting on the massive scale of corruption, fraud and theft in Iraq contracting, the nationalization of banking and manufacturing interests in the US and its potential consequences in areas such as healthcare and education, the efforts to hike tax rates to make up for falling revenue and government theft in Massachusetts, and the lack of prosecution for the Wall Street frauds and apathetic government officials who watched their actions.
Why? Because the long term consequences of all of this abuse of taxes is going to break the bank in the United States and then there will be a bunch of rich thieves and me (in the aggregate, us). If we don’t wake up to the fraud and greed all around us we will be broke and screwed and trapped. And the only way we can wake up to this is to be told what is really going on.
And women, in general, because we are more security conscious than men, are more likely to raise hell when we know dishonesty is taking place in our government, whereas men will try to figure out how to get their cut. Sorry for the cynicism, experience.
Playing to Lose?
Women have suffered for centuries under the old mythologies, and so honestly have boys and men. Although few men will admit it, (we’re not wusses, we can take it).
When my daughter was 3 I took her to a Renaissance Fair in her princess dress. I bought her a flower chaplet and a wooden sword and that was when I began to teach her: don’t wait for a prince to come kill you a dragon. Life is your battle, learn to slay your own dragons, a worthy man will love you for it.
What is your favorite awards show?
The Tonys always the Tonys. Real people in real clothes (although some are REAL FUNNY), and a sense of humor about themselves. All the others (especially the Oscars) take themselves and "their position" so seriously, and it feels so unmerited.
Watched the oscars for the first time in years this year and didn’t hate it.

Are you willing to accept more gov't regulation and fewer choices in health care to cut costs and provide insurance for all?
I guess I am in the minority on this one. I think the biggest reason health care costs are so high are because the government got involved in the area to begin with. If it hadn’t been for government meddling and government money healthcare decisions might still be between doctors and patients. If it weren’t for government money there would be no levels of bureaucracy making decisions based on profitability as opposed to what is best for the patient’s health.
If it weren’t for government mandates, healthcare MIGHT be about healing and doctors would give patients the time they need to be informed enough to make intelligent decisions, as opposed to 15 minutes at most so that they can cram as many people into a day as possible.
There is so much more to this than meets the eye. But a real aspect of the answer is to get the government out of areas where its muscle and money just make things worse.

And don’t believe for a moment that his wife didn’t know… sorry that is naive when over and over it has been printed that she was his bookkeeper. How can you keep the books if you don’t know what was going on? Now explain to me why she gets to keep millions in assets which he created with her help? If he wasn’t born with them they are part of the scheme, he got them by working the game, there is no way she is entitled to keep them JUST because SHE will be destitute w/out them. Come on victims, no more Mr. and Ms. Nice Guys. Karmic shares for everyone.

Press Defend Pelosi From 'Petulant' Plane Problem (Video)
I have been saying that for years Marjorie. They are all corrupt and compromised by their greed. There isn’t a servant of the people among them. But yes Pelosi is one of the worst. Take a look at the transfer of monies between her campaign and private accounts since her husband became her treasurer $100, 000.00 in the last 4 years up from$4,000.00 in the years before. She may be a grandmother and all that sweet stuff, but she is still a crook. But how much press did Cindy Sheehan get running against her last fall. She was mocked. It was a disgrace.
I tried to submit an editorial to our local paper saying if they’re incumbent vote them out. The paper was trumpeting the desire for change, but when it came to their political endorsements 90% of who they endorsed were incumbents, including that grotesque big haired phoney John Kerry. Why does no one ever mention HIS hair? ^_^

Oprah Warns Rihanna: 'He Will Hit You Again' (Video)
I can think of few better reasons to "Exploit celebrity" than to raise the consciousness of young girls to the FACT that if a man BEATS them they do not love them.
I have wondered what took her so long to address the issue, (everyone else has), particularly given the statistics of battered women in this country. She is one of the few people a wealthy young woman who is "in love" with an abuser might listen to.
Chris Brown is doing and saying whatever he can to get her to drop the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor. she is young and vulnerable and needs women to tell her the truth.
If Rihanna has the courage to walk away and let him take the punishment he has earned, perhaps she will give other young women the courage to walk away as well. How is that "exploitation"?
TMZ's Harvey Levin Blasts NY Times for Lack of Rihanna/Brown Coverage (Video)
I am glad as hell that Oprah has finally spoken out. She said out loud and in public, "He will hit you again."
I was hoping she would., but I am having doubts that the young lady hears her or anyone except him. All he wants is the felony charge dropped to a misdemeanor, and he will say anything or do anything to make that happen.
