Well said Charles! I notice it is okay for male designers to torture women’s feet for a zillion bucks a pair, but what man is EVER going to wear shoes that uncomfortable?

What a wonderful idea. Although I do the best I can to educate myself, and have a wonderful friend who was in the bond mkt educating me, it would be helpful to have some of these ideas clarified so that WHEN I decide to fight the corporate greed and the co-dependent government officials, I have a firm grasp of what I am talking about. This bailout is another example of the government rescuing its friends as opposed to doing what’s best for its citizens. I read this morning that there is a chance that US govt. bonds will lose their AAA rating. There is more than a chance. I have seen this coming for a while now. There is no oversight of the outgoing funds and no integrity about taking more than is needed, if there were we wouldn’t be seeing all of this info about bonuses still going out to the guys who got these banks into this mess. What they really should be getting is jail time, but no one is talking about that…Anywhere.

What nobody seems to be getting is that this was all designed by conventional republicans for John McCain to lose. If he had actually WON he would have upset everyone’s applecart in ways none of them wanted and Obama will not. While the Palin pick was edgy and McCainesque, everything else was Bush based behavior and totally unlike the image he had created for himself. It showed him to be just another “win at any price republican”. That removed all of his maverick qualities as it removed his vaunted personal integrity. The stylists were the icing on the cake. Note how now it is being said it was clothes for “the Palin family”, then it was said they were for Sarah Palin. This entire presidential campaign was one of media manipulation so that the candidate who was the “media’s choice” would win. I hope the American people smarten up before 2012, or that Barack Obama is half the things the media has said he is. But as I watch him fill his ranks with old Washington hacks, I am not holding my breath.
