Did Spitzer get what he deserved?

Spitzer is an arrogant a-hole….but it was also a political hit because he was going after bankers and calling them out for what they were doing….and predicting the mess we are now in. His reputation is shot. Yes, he got what he deserved. Why prosecute him? When do they ever prosecute the johns? Only the women, including the WDC Madam who hung herself. Was that justice to try her and the likes of David Vitter are still in the Senate. Of course not. It’s disgusting but it is how it is.

Introducing SHEconomics, by Liz Peek

I don’t blame myself at all. I’ve called the entire thing right since 1999. You, Liz Peek, on the other hand have not. So don’t include me in your blame game.

Who would you like to see in Obama's Cabinet?

Oprah is has a better platform with her show, etc. I hear that Wesley Clark is joining the administration—glad to hear that. I totally disagree that Robert Gates should be kept on as head of DoD. Think he should be replaced by Chuck Hagel asap. Think HRC should replace Harry Reid. And Caroline Kennedy as Ambassador to UN. Would like to see Jim Webb as head of FBI or CIA. And RFK, Jr head of EPA. I think the immediate staff Obama has already picked are excellent. I have total faith that he will pick an excellent team.

Marlo Thomas: Human Nature Needs to Be Regulated

Suzanne here…I changed my avatar as in Carmel for the next month. Mugsy, as a cat lover, truly sorry to hear about your cat. “Sheconmics…if women had been paying attention we wouldn’t have been in this mess.” BS. All one has to do is read the threads on Palin, and look at how many women voted for that complete imbecil and know that is not true. Not paying attention? Speak for yourself, wOw. I called this in 1999 when the 1932 Glass Stegall Act was reversed and I told my mother to buy gold when it was then at $300, and then again when Bush Inc got in and totally deregulated derivatives knowing they’d totally scam the system as Bushes always do. I also called this meltdown for what it was when Liz Peek was still saying it was a minor blip, and that Kitty person, too. I pay plenty of attention to the economy, and not on the surface but underlying factors. Within two years the USD is going to be down 70% because of debt created by Bush, because we manufacture next to nothing, and because we are a consumer nation and the consumers are tapped out. Obama is going to attempt a FDR kind of WPA program, which is what we need, and great for him…hope it works. Rebuild the infrastructure and create 5M new jobs, and particularly the electrical grid to a ‘smart’ grid. In the meantime, I will be making as much $ as possible and putting them in well managed foreign money funds excepting China currency because that is going to bottom out , too. If McCain had been elected I’d say another Depression was 95% certain. Obama may stave it off because he is a lot smarter and is putting together a dream team of experts. But the fact remains that he is inheriting the worse financial crisis since Lincoln/FDR and it will not be easy at all to fix this incredibly complex mess that is global-wide. Thanks to the GOP and GWB/NeoCons.

Post-Election Postmortem: Did the Election Help or Hurt Women in Politics?

When all was said and done, Obama had more negative ads about McCain than the other way around.” So ridiculous. Maybe check with the NYT editors on what they said. It is too bad that some are so blind while the majority of the world celebrates. Anyone who could support Palin is an absolute nitwit, period.

Thank you Countrywoman. Star & company are too myopic for me to pay attention to any longer…..total waste of time. So thanks that you are up to it.

Post-Election Postmortem: Did the Election Help or Hurt Women in Politics?

Star, It doesn’t matter how many times it gets said for you, does it? It has to do with similiar VALUES. Do you need the Goodyear Blimp to fly overhead with it flashing in neon lights to get it?? Palin is an idiot oaf. How much clearer does one need to be?? You are so sour, so bitter, that no fact about Obama matters. He won so get used to it.

Post-Election Postmortem: Did the Election Help or Hurt Women in Politics?

Susan, She is a moron and I admire intelligence. She and Obama have NOTHING in common and if you think so, then you aren’t very bright. And I am not going to list the reasons, because as I said, I don’t like dumb people.

That’s ‘Carmel-by-the-Sea’ shouldn’t talk on the phone, watch TV and blog at the same time.

Marjorie, Suzanne here, wanted to change avatar as in Carme-by-the-Seal for the next month on vacation…….I am NOT Palin’s sister….or anything to her. She is totally repulsive to me. If blond/white me is sister to anyone it is to Michelle with whom I share values and beliefs. Please do not decide who others are ‘sister’ too. I can’t stand Palin….she’s nothing but a horror show to me.
