The Saudi Car Ride That Shook the World - 18 Years Later

It is time for reciprocity. Saudi men in the United States must be denied the right to drive and must, when traveling in a car, have a woman driver. The prohibitions on visible religious symbols must mirror that in Saudi. For any expenditure over $100, a married Saudi man should be required to have his wive’s written permission. Let Saudi men pay a price for their misogamy. Or let them stay home.

What a bunch of frivolous claptrap! When the Trans Canada gas line starts bringing energy to the lower 48, the world will still be waiting for some contribution from Palin’s detractors. I haven’t seen so much anti woman condescension since the women reporters were released from the Woman’s page. My late mother who spent her career limited by the second class station of women in the workplace would have wept to see women today eagerly reinforcing the stereotypes when it benefited their male tutors.
