Jun. 11—Exxon Mobil Corp., the largest natural gas holder on the North Slope, said today it will work on the long-awaited natural gas pipeline project with TransCanada Corp.

The two companies said Exxon will participate in all aspects of TransCanada’s project: technical, commercial, regulatory and financial. TransCanada will retain the lead in its project and be majority owner.

The alliance of Exxon and TransCanada was hailed by Gov. Sarah Palin, whose administration is backing the TransCanada project under legislation — the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act — she pushed through in 2007, her first year in office.

She described the agreement as "very encouraging and exciting, but certainly no surprise, because AGIA was crafted to allow just this type of commercial alignment to take place." [Engineering News Record, 6/12]

That is the reason I was a Palin fan even before I knew anything personal about her. Almost alone among all the national political persons SHE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT!!! That makes her better in my eyes than most of the rest of the pack. I have serious doubts about the credibility of WOW as an agent of change for women if they so readily join in the Palin gangbang.

Bush’s biggest failure was his failure to lay the responsibility for Katrina deaths directly on the Mayor and the Governor, and his wimping out and making an on site visit after criticism of his flyover.

To me, the penultimate torture woud be deprivation of freedom, and we impose that on people all the time. That imprisonment is maintained by deadly force. Anything between that and permanent disfigurement and death is just icing on the cake.

45% of the death row inmates at Q are there for their second or more killings - they were convicted of murder, then when released they killed again. The system that did NOT execute these killers is responsible  for their subsequent victim’s deaths. An error of omission can be as egregious as an error of commission. We do our best to avoid killing innocents. Of those released from death row, most had killed, but "circumstances" were adjudged insufficient to meet the standard for execution. The victims of the released killers did not have any avenue of appeal.

You find the Palestinian ouster difficult to understand - perhaps to you. Soros will explain it all. I consider the Arab-Israeli conflict to be a war between civilization and barbarism, and I consider our failure to take a firm side to be a shame to our nation. I cannot understand you women who sell yourselves back into slavery and brag  about the chains, but them my taste has always run to mature adult women.
