Will Hollywood Be Nice to 'Cougar Town'? by Jane Ganahl

I asked the women in my Real Cougar Woman community to take part in The Cougar Town Debate.  After the show they answered 5 questions about the show.  I will be publishing the results very soon.  Does the media accurately portray women over 40?  And, if not, isn’t it about time they did?

Baby Boomers Are Binge Drinkers, Too

Belinda I have thousands of women who love The Real Cougar Woman philosophy.  Before you criticize it you should learn more about it.  Real Cougars are smart, sexy independent women proud to be over 40.  We refuse to be defined by the age of the man we choose to be with.  The media has taken cougar and turned it into something ugly.  Please don’t by into the bling and clevage mentality.   

Baby Boomers Are Binge Drinkers, Too

Women are drinking more as they age because they are taking the time to reflect on their lives. When you feel bored, dissatisfied and perhaps invisible, you look for a temporary escape from the pain.

Of course, drinking isn’t the answer - putting a bandaid on a hemmorage never is.

I have thousands of women in my online community.  Many of these fabulous females over 40 are happily involved in relationships with younger men.  They didn’t go prowling - two people just met and then nature took it’s course and they fell in love.  

Let’s stop being so critical and give a thumbs up to happiness wherever you can find it.

Ladies, Think Twice About Taking Hormone Replacement Therapy for Menopause

I am a fan of bioidentical hormones and have been using them for over 10 years. 

It’s important to do your own research and realize most of the testing done is with synthetic hormones - not bioidenticals.

There are many reports I have read that prove that bioidentical HRT is beneficial to ward of the diseases of aging.  It’s also important to note that the age of the woman taking them. The earlier the better after the onset of menopausal symptoms.
