I think the daughter in #2 is being really considerate and loving - trying to pay for as much as she can etc.  It’s legal. The mom didn’t mention if the groom is of the same religion.  I bet not!  Go with it and smile for the pictures, mom.

I think it’s jealousy - if I had Michelle Obama’s arms, I’d be going sleeveless all year, and I live in Canada!  She’s lovely and her dress is very appropriate, never suggestive and never too pompous.

Barbie and I are exactly the same age. I guess is she’s getting a facelift, I better start thinking about one. LOL

I’ll be in Ottawa Canada, watching the world junior hockey championship. That night it’s Canada vs. U.S. Then back to my sister-in-law’s house for boardgames and snacks. Right after midnight, we’ll head back to our beautiful hotel right downtown next to the parliament buildings, which are gorgeous during the holidays.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Brad (and Angelina) don’t think of her as a point on a triangle, in fact don’t think of her at all. I makes me embarrassed for her, and squirmy. She can’t stop talking about something that is so over, so done. I guess she feels it’s the only way to sell tickets to her movies. Sad.

Well, I think when you get to a certain age, health trumps beauty when it comes to weight issues. Her current weight is not healthy and there is a ton of medical evidence to spell out the risks. She’s a lovely woman at any weight, but needs to lose to be/stay healthy as she ages.

I admire Oprah for talking openly about this struggle. I lost 20 lbs a year ago (sounds minor, but I’m petite and it took me to a normal weight). The work to maintain this loss is a daily struggle. Every day I forego things I like, I make compromises, I stick to a pretty boring regime. I’ve reconciled it, and am very proud of my achievement. I weight myself every other day to keep “creep ups” in check. People who don’t think about these things are lucky. I hope Oprah finds a healthy solution. Maybe if she just ate heart healthy and forgot about calories and pounds?
