I’m later, which is probably appropriate because I love the song from the original “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”…”you’re a bad banana with a greasy black peel!”, anyone? But I also like Jingle Bells and John Lennon’s Xmas.

Be kinder to people I love. One of my favorites is to make a new friend—it always seems to happen, without my consciously trying…well, that sounds a little arrogant, but…just getting to know someone a little better, staying in touch.

Well, to be fair, there was the “Kill him!” chant at Mc/P rallies…guess they combined the two.

As I recently started my own literary magazine, this is not a good development. Online, as others have said, is very impersonal…I love making a page layout…ok, not when the computer deletes it, but when I post the pieces on the blog I succumbed to doing for it, it doesn’t feel like a sense of accomplishment, where taking seven hours to print 30 somewhat unprofessional looking documents does, when you staple it and smile…and notice you forgot page numbers.

If she’s still out and about, she should give talks at schools or something…as if any desperate teenage girl would listen. Plenty of people survive sex, right? Well, some people have heart attacks during it sometimes… She’s not only got her virginity, but telomeres!

Don’t remember who said it, about many scientists believing in God, but I would like to comment when Nature magazine did a survey in 1998, 72% of scientists who responded identified as atheists. Agnostics were a further 21%. I’m not sure how prominent these scientists were, or how big the sample was, I want to say it was fairly large—and then of course there’s Francis Collins and physicist Freeman Dyson who apparently believe, but the majority do not. Also, I’m really surprised no one mentioned Richard Dawkins…other than the selfish gene theory. He would be gagging about virgin birth vs. Darwin, if he isn’t already.
