Liz Smith: Drew and Jessica Rule at 'Grey Gardens' Preem

I remember when Drew was in Natchez as a child (1985) filming the female version of Huckleberry Finn on the Mississippi River.  It was called ‘Con Sawyer and Hucklemary Finn".  My daughter’s friend was her stunt double.

I definitely will not miss ‘Grey Gardens’!!

Julia Reed: Champagne and Shallots (Recipe)

We were at Seaside to celebrate the New Year, 2008, with our dear friends. I agree it is the most wonderful place for any celebration, but we especially enjoy the winter months. I am working my way through the recipes, and will be sure to try Lee Bailey’s angel hair pasta. Do you have his Plantation Cookbook with recipes and pictures from Natchez? It is wonderful. Happy New Year!

A Julia Reed Thanksgiving (Recipes)

Joanne, JB is right. I recently spent two days at The Monteleone, and will definitely return. Dinner at the Upperline was fabulous, too. I recommend returning to Natchez - we have changed a lot in two years. Come by Cover to Cover Books & More, across Pearl Street from the Eola, and pick up Julia’s latest books. Rosemary in Natchez
