Princeton Schmensten, Harvard Snarvard. Just because you have a fancy rich education does not mean you did not graduate without still being an idiot that you were before you graduated.( I.E. Graduated top of the class versus the bottom of the class! ) This male scientist is in denial which ain’t just a river in Egypt. My Degree in Environmental Studies was not from a rich University however just an average one. Greenhouse gases, thinning of the ozone layer, skin cancer rate spikes, these are just some of our modern human made realities that we live with ervery day now. I remember our Canadian summers were hot at 90 degrees and humid. Now the humidity chokes the breath out of you and you can only stick a few minutes outside without getting lightheaded and relentless days upon days of 100 and 110 degrees and power outtages and warnings over not to use the air conditioners too much, yet without the AC you could not live for long in your house without serious headaches and heat sickness. The weather has indeed changed. Everytime we put a rocket up in the air it eats up more ozone ect. Liz I beg to differ on the nukes thing. Read my thesis on Chernobyl and then we’ll discuss the success (NOT) of the French nukes program. They have had more near melt downs and runaway fission accidents than the US had had. Nuclear energy does not help with the greenhouse effect/global warming problem. You can’t ever get rid of the pollution caused by spent reactor fuel for the next 10,000+ years. What a fine legacy to leave future generations. The radioactive emissions from daily operations taint our air, water and soil as it uploads into the ecosystem. I should know, I come from Canada whose proud CANDU reactors is a world export and we are a very pro nuke country. France is the biggest nuke pusher in the world. It ain’t all its cracked up to be Liz. Please read the Greenpeace reports on the state of European and Russian RMBK reactors to learn about why nukes should never be an alternative energy option for any country’s future on earth. I agree with Lily that we all need to learn, educate and research these issues much, much more to keep fully informed of what is going on daily in our small global village that we call earth.

Postal and shipping prices! Here in Canada its been really bad for years but now the US is catching up to our outrageous postal costs that go up regularly every year. Ours last went up in January by leaps and bounds and I understand that the US is set for another postal spike come May. More costs and you get less and less each year to show for it. The Post costs have become giant rip-offs. Agree with everyone else about food spiralling out of control! Blueberries and black berries life’s little luxuries suddenly become life’s big luxuries. And let’s not get me started on them picking the berries green from South America that are sprayed with lethal chemicals we banned here 25 years ago that we consume now making the circle of poison complete. Makes cheaper fruit from Latin America not such a hot bargain after all. Organic is not a concept understood down in Latin America that in turn has yet to trickle back to us consumers in a very healthful way.

I lasted a week as a Midas Muffler “Top Gun” a few moons back-I kept answering the phone for Speedy Muffler (Their big competitor) instead by mistake as I was so nervous to answer their phones. Unfortunately the the big boss did not find it so amusing when he called in one day.

Ya’ll I wish you would have included the Purell on there to chose from! Sunglasses, soap (regular bar or liquid and Purell types) and deodorant is right up there as well for me. And of course moisturizer for the hands, body and face is probably Numbero Uno for moi. I can safely live without the rest of the list as make-up has never mattered to me. Although the blow dryer does come in quite handy from time to time on a cold winter’s day. And the tweezers do come in handy now and again (no pun intended) when I get a splinter in a finger or toe.

I am transported back to a time warp back to an Ally McBealsian moment…the world of the dumbstick. Has the world (of the dumbstick) really changed since Ally left the Air? No. I think this crap has been going on for Millennia. Deja Vu newsflash: Alas, we have been here before! For those needing further proof that we don’t live in a world ruled by Dumbsticks (and those is power are far from immune from this fast spreading virus and seem rather genetically prone to catching it)…just check your email today. Did you get any ads for penis enlarging/lengthening or a perhaps a vulgar Viagra ad? Has every single Catholic Pedophile Clergy been rooted out forever from every the Churches across the world? I so feel for the wife. Thank Goddess for sites such as this one that helps us vent and provides a sane anti-dote to the socio-economic cultural virus of this excessive dumbstickery that seems to be as prevalent as ever these days.
