Yes, Leigh Hart, that is true.   Those security measures that the Bush administration put in place are the very measures that had the recent terrorists arrested in New York.    We all know we have sleeper cells of terrorists here in our country living among us as immigrants.    They are being watched and monitored each and every time they buy bomb materials.  

Obama doesn’t need time to make a decision on Afghanistan.   It’s all political.    He is making a polical decision instead of doing what is right for the troops.   He is more concerned about being a one term president and his dropping popularity rating.    He has been presented with the best options and he has ignored General McChrystal.   I hope McChrystal resigns to show his disrespect for a President who is taking a political stance.  

Like Liz Peek said last week, he has boxed himself into a corner.   Inexperience.   His most meaningful job was a community organizer.   What in the hell were the democrats thinking, Leigh?   This was a trainwreck from the beginning of his campaign.  Sealed college records?   All information pulled from the internet about him?    What other president felt a need to do that? That alone should’ve been a red flag for the dems.

Carol, you provided a poll on Sarah Palin LOL!   She lost remember?   She’s not running for anything.    We all know she has a 38% approval rating right now.   That’s old news.   I’m sure it will go up as more people read her books.   Thought you were providing a poll on Obama’s approval rating.   Couldn’t find one you liked?

phyllis, I’m sure you do not like my mantra because President Obama is not accomplishing anything.  In fact, he has made matters worse.   I know you are tired of hearing that.    That’s not something democrats want to hear.   I realize you are okay with America being totally run by the government and you embrace socialist countries as doing the right thing for the people.   I’m sure that’s why you were never bothered when you learned of his many radical affiliations while he was in college and afterwards.   It doesn’t seem to matter to you that he wants to transform this country using Germany as a model.  

Fortunately, we have intelligent Americans who are focusing on the debt Obama has brought to us in less than one year and he doesn’t have anything to show for it.   Today 46% job approval for Obama.   Soon he and Palin will meet at 38%.

D L, you are certainly in the majority!   Actually, Obama promised that unemployment would not go higher than 8%.   He hasn’t gotten anything right so far.  

The democrats who are supporting him are betting on a losing horse.   This is what you get when you elect such an inexperienced man to the highest office in our country.   He had a socialist agenda and duped many Americans.   However, we have his number now and will simply vote him out in 2012.   2010 will be exciting as blue states are beginning to turn red….can’t wait for that election!!!!

Research is a wonderful tool.   You can’t rewrite history no matter how hard you try.

You’ve got that right, Leigh Hart.   There’s a tremendous amount of buyer’s remorse going on in this country which can be measured by the number of states that are going red.    Let’s not forget the polls…ALL OF THEM…because no matter who you research their numbers are fairly close.  You know, Leigh, Obama kept many of Bush’s policies.   Obama also remembers how this country turned against GWB over the war in Iraq and that has to be the reason he is hedging and unable to make a timely decision on Afghanistan.   I know they are making excuses that they need to wait for this and that but they asked for the best General to give them a brief on what is needed in Afghanistan…he provided it….and he’s still waiting.   I believe General McChrystal will resign after Obama delivers "his decision."   Petraus should also resign.   Their Commander-in-Chief will have let them down and when you lose respect for your boss you need to step aside and let the next General step up.

I keep trying to come up with at least three things Obama has accomplished for the American people since he took office.  Difficult task I’ve given myself.  

Maggie, that is, without a doubt, your best post to date. One thing we do know about McCain is that he would’ve addressed the recession and unemployment from an entirely different approach.     He would’ve put ample stimulus money in OUR hands, not the special interest groups (sigh) and he would’ve propped up our small businesses.      Obama didn’t do that and look where we are!    I’m not sure about the lobster and shrimp.

By now, there would’ve been a surge in Afghanistan.   No one can predict an outcome had there been one but it couldn’t be any worse than it is now.   Illegal arrests are down by 50% since Obama took office so I have to assume that it would’ve been better under MCain and Palin.     Since McCain would’ve NEVER considered bowing or apologizing for America he would’ve appeared stronger and someone not to misjudge by the middle east and Asia.

I have to pass on a healthcare bill from McCain.   I believe he would’ve delayed that massive challenge until he cleaned up the fraud and abuse in medicaid and medicare.  He would not have thrown good taxpayer’s money into an already failed socialist program.

I don’t think Palin will  run in 2012.    I do feel the republicans will put up a winner in 2012.   Too soon to know that.
