What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

D L, you are certainly in the majority!   Actually, Obama promised that unemployment would not go higher than 8%.   He hasn’t gotten anything right so far.

The democrats who are supporting him are betting on a losing horse.   This is what you get when you elect such an inexperienced man to the highest office in our country.   He had a socialist agenda and duped many Americans.   However, we have his number now and will simply vote him out in 2012.   2010 will be exciting as blue states are beginning to turn red….can’t wait for that election!!!!

Hi dr hoodia, seems like 50% of Americans have head their head in the sand since 2001.   But that’s okay.   Saddam Hussein had WMD’s….remember how he kept denying the inspection for years?   Wonder why.

Here’s a timeline on the WMD’s

The Palin Book, as Dear Margo Sees It

With all due respect, a bit of history reading will tell you clearly that it started with Jimmy Carter and his affirmative action and his encouragement of the banks to alter their lending practices so that poor people could buy a home.

Research is a wonderful tool.   You can’t rewrite history no matter how hard you try.

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

You’ve got that right, Leigh Hart.   There’s a tremendous amount of buyer’s remorse going on in this country which can be measured by the number of states that are going red.    Let’s not forget the polls…ALL OF THEM…because no matter who you research their numbers are fairly close.  You know, Leigh, Obama kept many of Bush’s policies.   Obama also remembers how this country turned against GWB over the war in Iraq and that has to be the reason he is hedging and unable to make a timely decision on Afghanistan.   I know they are making excuses that they need to wait for this and that but they asked for the best General to give them a brief on what is needed in Afghanistan…he provided it….and he’s still waiting.   I believe General McChrystal will resign after Obama delivers "his decision."   Petraus should also resign.   Their Commander-in-Chief will have let them down and when you lose respect for your boss you need to step aside and let the next General step up.

I keep trying to come up with at least three things Obama has accomplished for the American people since he took office.  Difficult task I’ve given myself.

Maggie, that is, without a doubt, your best post to date. One thing we do know about McCain is that he would’ve addressed the recession and unemployment from an entirely different approach.     He would’ve put ample stimulus money in OUR hands, not the special interest groups (sigh) and he would’ve propped up our small businesses.      Obama didn’t do that and look where we are!    I’m not sure about the lobster and shrimp.

By now, there would’ve been a surge in Afghanistan.   No one can predict an outcome had there been one but it couldn’t be any worse than it is now.   Illegal arrests are down by 50% since Obama took office so I have to assume that it would’ve been better under MCain and Palin.     Since McCain would’ve NEVER considered bowing or apologizing for America he would’ve appeared stronger and someone not to misjudge by the middle east and Asia.

I have to pass on a healthcare bill from McCain.   I believe he would’ve delayed that massive challenge until he cleaned up the fraud and abuse in medicaid and medicare.  He would not have thrown good taxpayer’s money into an already failed socialist program.

I don’t think Palin will  run in 2012.    I do feel the republicans will put up a winner in 2012.   Too soon to know that.

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

Mel, I’ll stand by my post.   It is the American people who cast their votes.   Obviously, President Obama wasn’t presidential material either.   All I am saying is if Obama got elected ….. look out because the American people will be so unhappy by 2012 they may go "rogue" on us.   She couldn’t do any worse and we know she loves America.

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

phyllis, the United States cannot be compared to any other country.   We have tried and failed miserably at socialist programs.  We have so many people with their hands out in our country and the democrats have created third generation welfare recipients.   The arrest of illegals has gone down by 50% since Obama took office.   They are obviously taking jobs from Americans.   If you look at the democratic states which have the largest inner cities, nothing has improved for these people yet the  democrats pour more and more money into it.

What is wrong with America right now is the lack of personal responsibility.   "Ask not what your country can do for you.  Ask what YOU can do for your country."   What Americans can do is take responsibility for the lives and the children they bring into the world.

American will never embrace a socialist driven President, phyllis, not now and not 20 years from now.   We aren’t like other countries and what works for them will not work for us.    Americans became greedy and maxed out their credit cards and took advantage of bogus mortgages encouraged by our own government.   THAT’S what must be stopped.    We need to get back to the basics and we don’t need the government to make these personal changes for us.

You won’t prevail.   America will never be a socialist driven country.   Are you listening to the American people?

Belinda, I think you just may be your biggest fan.   : o )

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

Actually, Belinda Joy, neither you or anyone else can state that Barack Obama would win if Palin/Beck were on the republican ticket.   No one knows if Obama would "certainly win."

Sorry, Belinda, I don’t believe this administration can recover from MASSIVE DEBT and EXPERIMENTATION WITH OUR ECONOMY in a year or two.   LOL!    Somehow, I don’t believe the American people will be so forgiving with the mismanagement of hard earned taxes by Obama & Czars.    That problem will not go away for 12 more years!!!!

If this administration pulls out of Afghanistan, Al Qaeda will once again occupy that country.   They will continue to grow in numbers and stay on task of ridding the world of "The Infidels."    WE are the infidels and as such their only goal is to kill Americans on their home soil and anyone else who does not believe in their interpretation of the Koran.   That threat, unfortunately, is never going away.   By removing our troops from Afghanistan now we send a message to the world.   Not only do we have a president who, in his first 100 days in office, went around the world and apologized for America but he will be seen as weak thereby stepping up the Al Qaeda regime.   Pakistan has been somewhat successful in flushing Al Qaeda out of the Swat Valley.   Just this week we are reading that the Pakistani people are beginning to move back in.  So, where will Al Qaeda go now?   Of course, back to Afghanistan.  Obama is toast no matter what he decides.   He has boxed himself into a difficult political corner no doubt a result of his inexperience and having never been in the military.   The advice he is receiving from his administration on this issue can easily be measured by the advice Obama was given on the $787 billion failed stimulus, cash for clunkers, bank bailouts, auto bailouts, etc. all of which have failed.

The Healthcare bill will more than likely die on the vine as the democrats continue to go behind closed doors, and the American people are unwavering in their vow to vote their congressmen out of office if they fail to listen to them.

Today, the American people have the power.   Barack Obama and his administration have literally given up their power by refusing to listen to the American people.   Our administration have created an irreparable trust issue and the soaring debt we now own hasn’t changed our economy.   In fact, it has probably made it worse.

No Second Term for this President.   Obama put the cart before the horse during his first 100 days.   The American people should’ve been far more important to him than paying back his campaign donors through a massive $787 stimulus bill with the most ridiculous earmarks this country has ever seen.   To add insult to injury, we are now finding how that some of these earmarked districts don’t even exist and they don’t even know where the money went.

This is bad juju for America and certainly bad news for Obama.   He can take his socialist government arms and wrap them around another country.   America won’t allow more socialist programs because they have failed in our country.   So, Obama, you might want to start looking around for a country that is looking for a dictator in 2012.    At least this time you’ll take a little bit of experience with you.

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

The American people created the perfect storm for someone like Barack Obama to be elected President of the United States.   They turned on GWB in such a way that it paved the way for a far left leaning inexperienced man to ease his way into the White House.   He was elected on his "Hope and Change" campaign and "Transparency" in the White House.   He delivered neither one and boldly replaced it with a government controlled healthcare bill.   Americans aren’t buying that bill and they aren’t happy with the wreckless spending which is putting America at risk for a depression.

Now, Barack Obama is creating the perfect storm for someone like Sarah Palin to be elected to the highest office in our country.   If you feel she is inexperienced and not ready to run our country, she could very easily be elected due to a perfect storm created by this president.

Wake up America.
