Dear Margo: What to Do When a Daughter Is Without the Compassion Gene

Not me!  I just got back from going to California to visit my Mom’s older friends…I’d promised my Mom, on her death-bed, I’d go and visit them…I waited too long, as the mr. died the day after I called w/my travel plans…so when I got there, she wanted to go to the Casino…whew!  I could’nt keep up w/an 88 year old!!  sooo cute and sassy!  she wore me out!  finally, at midnight, I asked if she was ready to go home yet….LOL…yep, she’s a ~CUTiE~!

A Few Words About One Word, by Margo Howard

My complaint against Teddy, is that after having children w/Joan…all the time being a womanizer……he gets an annullment!!  wtf?  That is soooo wrong!  does that mean his 3 children were bastards/illegitimate? Just because he could’nt keep his zipper zipped..arrgghhh!  …I have never had any respect for a man that does NOT respect his family (wife and children).  and don’t try and say…OOoO he’s just being a Kennedy.

so is he or is he NOT a bigamist? same w/his nephew. makes me sick.

So Many Books (So Few Writers), by Margo Howard

I love that song: Save the last dance for me……yup, I knows whut you be talkin’ ‘bout!

as soon as I read your statement, that song came into my head! ;o)

Whoopi Goldberg on the Woodstock Generation, Then and Now

Let me count the many ways I can abhorr those two …Sherrie was just fine as a fill-in host…once she was signed on full-time she became uppity, preachin’ out one side of her mouth about how Godly she is, whilst being a man-hungry female fauning over the men guests…and all her posturing…and like I said…her eating & talking @ the same time..her gobbling of food….*ugh* don’t even get me started on her sheep-like political "views"…whom-ever is her current "role-model" is who she mimics in her voting and political leanings…. I guess I can call it like "I" see it. I  certainly do NOT want to see her being so Gross!…as does a lot of people we all know.  ok, Elizabeth….she comes across as a know-it-all because she is a mom…well…duh…there are a LOT of us Mom’s out here/there…she is so annoying…she dresses inappropriately, when everyone else wears seasonal clothing, she wears skimpy too-tight clothes..called herself "knocked-up" when it’s her 3rd in a marriage…not some teenager that gets "knocked-up", but a blessing, in a  family..these are just high-lights, but I do think different generations see things differently….and I cannot stand the personalities of Sherri or Eliz….my right, my choice…No apologies….I enjoy Whoopi and Joy, so…50/50…

Mr. wOw Remembers: My First Time With Liz Taylor

My grandfather [born in 1899) was so in "lust" w/EliZabeth Taylor.!!..all my years growing up, he’d state that he’d better die b4 her, because he just could’nt stand it, if someone that beautiful was not around for him to enjoy!!   LOL…he did.

Whoopi Goldberg on the Woodstock Generation, Then and Now

Laughing here…w/canuck canuck…although we do disagree re: E…I hate that whiny voice , but I 100 times more cannot stand Sherri, esp as she is always talking w/her mouth full of food, and she is downright disgusting to see her gobble food, as fast as she can!!  her preening…*eeewwwwww…and always stating that Baba is her mommie…*ugh*…I was just talking w/friends the other day and we have all lost respect for Baba…she needs to get off-air…and quit "adopting" idiot sheeple like Sherrie….none of us knew the others felt the same way!  ok, I trashed-talked enuff !

If you are gone, [from ABC-The View],  Whoopi, the best to ya in whatever comes next! You can always come to Oregon and visit, and I’ll take ya to see some awesome places!

Whoopi Goldberg on the Woodstock Generation, Then and Now

NOoooooooooooo  say it is’nt so!!  I absolutely abhorr Sherrie and EliZabeth….they can GO GO GO anytime, like NOW!  ….but please NOT Whoopi and NOT Joy!  I love love love those 2 women!  love their sass! their common sense!   Roger, is it true?  I’ve been away from TV for a week….have’nt caught up w/all I missed….I’ll quit watchin’ The View for sure if Whoopi is gone….dammmmmm…..

Whoopi Goldberg on the Woodstock Generation, Then and Now

Laughing here…..sooooooooooo…did’ja go?  I was of age, the right generation…but, I was such a geek…I did’nt even know about it until after the fact.

*Whoopi…since you may [or may not] read this…I just want to say that watching you on the View…I realized we are a lot alike, even my "s.o." says..wow you are so much like Whoopi…LOL…I can always tell when you get miffed or pissed off, even mildly…..Laughing here….Just want’cha to know I admire and respect you!

Dear Margo: Saying Good-bye

Laughing here Pdr…loved your Scott story!  going to make me smile all day!

Dear Margo: Saying Good-bye

My Mom and I wrote her obit, as she wanted to make sure certain things were in it…I obliged, and made certain her last wishes were respected…I, am traveling to CA, next week, to see her life-long friends before they die, as I promised my Mother I would.  (they could’nt come to her Celebration of Life, as their only child (grown man) was dying the same time….they are 88 and 89….thrilled I’m coming….as I am.

ok, a quik story re: a Funeral…My Mom/GG (GreatGrandma) had my almost 3 year old grandson staying at her house for a few days, when Mom called and asked me what his Momma would think if he went w/her to a funeral of a close family friend…I said, I think as long as he does’nt see inside the casket, it’ll be ok.  They went, and then on out to their home afterwards…there was quite a lot of teenage girls there, and he had lots of attention! On the way home, GG asks Cody, "So Cody…what did you think of the funeral?"  he seZ: "GG…that was the best party I’ve ever gone to!"  Out of the mouths of babes.

Dear Margo: Sick of the Tall Remarks

Re: ltrwrt #2…sounds like she is exhausted!  Does the husband help around the house?  If she cooks, does he do the clean-up?  being over-tired w/no help, does cause resentment in a marriage, thus leading to a sex-less marriage.  I bet’cha if the husband would start helping w/the work-load, her interest would perk up.

*wonders if the husband helps w/the children?  ie; bathing, reading to them b4 bed-time, etc? Does he care for their children while she goes out to have a manicure and a pedicure?   It’s NOT babysitting when it’s YOUR children!

does the husband call home from work, and say I’ve got a babysitter lined up, we’re going out tonight, to YOUR favorite restaurant?  then woo and court her?  remember why you fell in love in the first place?

been there.

Dear Margo: Sick of the Tall Remarks

Love all the comments!  My kids, when young, were on the other end of the measuring stick…when people would ask why they were so short, I’d say…Omigosh, and dramatically check out their legs, and say wooooweeeee…yep, their legs reach the ground…they’re tall enuff!

years later, I married the love of my life, he was 6’6" vs my 5’3…you can bet’cha I got ribbed a lot…mostly the Mutt & Jeff comment!  I gotta say, I felt much taller and had better posture when walking w/him!  LOL

Obama Birth Certificate 'Birthers' Surface Again as President Tries to Ease Concerns Over Health Care (Videos)

I flew to Japan,  to be w/my husband…during the VietNam war…I was pregnant b4 leaving the states, and gave birth in June of 71, to my son, on a military base.  Upon leaving the hospital, my son was 4 days old…we were to go immediately to the American Embassy to get him on my Passport and to sign papers that I and the father, were American citizen’s, and I signed a paper that I would not persue a Japanese birth certificate for him, nor could he…he actually had 3 stamped original birth records, for different reasons when we left the embassy.  I’m sure thats the way it works at all military bases overseas.
