Currently I have been unemployed for over 8 months.  I can’t even seem to get an interview.  It’s depressing and scary as hell.

So often I see this used, and while often beautiful, I would caution any woman over 25 on the use of black eyeliner - less is more.  Thick black eyeliner ages a woman by at least 10 years in my humble opinion.

Belinda, while I agree that the photo to which you linked is a beautiful representation of ADS, she really is one of those women whose beauty transcends make-up and a perfect coiffure.

You’re certainly on track, Margo.  I think I took that one personally because it speaks to my naivete in so firmly backing a person who couldn’t possibly deserve the pedestal on which I had placed him.

I respectfully disagree with you in this case.  Sexual harrassment is only present when the subordinate party feels pressured in some way.  There are instances where the act is consentual.  There are also women who consent then cry sexual harrassment after they don’t get what they want, which makes the real act even more difficult to prove.  This, so far, has not been shown to be sexual harrassment.

Well this "scandal" his certainly given me pause.  I’ve always liked David Letterman, and I still do.  This has not changed my opinion of him in the least.  Neither did it come as a shock to me.  The fact that he ‘fessed up rather than indulge the whims of a criminal makes me appreciate him even more.  Perhaps it’s because he was only recently married?  That shouldn’t make a difference, since he’s been involved with his now wife for a very long time.  I still don’t know why, but I just don’t feel as "betrayed" as when, for instance, John Edwards’ affair came to light.  I still haven’t forgiven him for that one.  Go figure.

To LW#1, I’m sorry for the estrangement that your father has caused.  Your use of the phrase ‘be the better person’ makes me think that doing just that is what will ultimately give you peace.  We can’t control the actions of others, but we can certainly take charge of our own.  Either way, I do hope you find peace.

I so agree with you, F P, and frankly I’m appalled at this.  It’s ridiculous that it is going to take an act of courage to bring forth this movie based on scientific theory, but I hope someone steps up to the plate soon.

Back in April, when I first heard this news, I was shocked.  Then I knew I’d have to tell my Mom.  She didn’t believe me.  We’ll both be tuning in tomorrow as our Light is doused for the final time.  Best wishes to Ms. Sloan and all the wonderful actors and crew of this long running show.  I will miss you terribly.

Somewhere in between every single match and now and then.  The two weeks of the US Open is my favorite time of year.  I’ve been very disappointed with the coverage this year, but I am often resistent to change, lol.  It’s been frustrating not seeing the matches that I want - I am convinced that both Roddick and Blake lost because I was not able to watch their matches.  Just kidding, but I’ve been rooting for Blake for several years, and I really hope he gets it together and wins the Open one of these days.

As for Serena, I am a huge fan, but while I understand her frustration, make no mistake about it - she did threaten the judge, so I do feel the penalties were deserved.  I accept her apologies, but I feel she owes the biggest apology to Kim Clister’s fans as they were robbed of seeing Kim win the match and revel beside her in the win.

Tonight’s men’s final was one of the best I’d seen in years.  The 20 year old Juan Martin Del Potro defeating the best male tennis player ever?  Priceless.  Both men should be proud of their performances in the US Open.

It is my dream to one day be there in person to witness my favorite sports event.  As I am now middle age, I hope it happens sooner rather than later, lol.
