The model Obama used to a goverment run department that we could use for health care….
"WASHINGTON — The Postal Service reported a net loss of $3.8 billion for the 2009 fiscal year, about $1 billion more than the previous year.
The loss comes despite a reduction of 40,000 in career employees and billions in cost-cutting measures.
Postal Chief Financial Officer Joseph Corbett called the year "one of the most challenging in the history of the Postal Service."
The post office has been facing a decline in mail volume caused by the shift to the Internet, as well as the recession, which resulted in a drop in advertising mail.
Postmaster General John Potter is seeking permission from Congress to reduce mail delivery from six days-a-week to five. The agency is consolidating mail facilities, looking to close some offices and looking for new sources of income.
(This version CORRECTS APNewsNow. corrects date to 2009, instead of 2008.)"

and some wonder why we do not trust this government????
Here’s a stimulus success story: In Arizona’s 9th Congressional District, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that’s what the website set up by the Obama Administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.
There’s one problem, though: There is no 9th Congressional District in Arizona; the state has only eight Congressional Districts.
There’s no 86th Congressional District in Arizona either, but the government’s recovery.gov Web site says $34 million in stimulus money has been spent there.

Well here comes the tax increases…. I just received my state unemployment compensation rates for 2010. They increased from .9% to 3.9%. Just another cost of doing business for those "evil" corporations IF I ever get the opportunity to hire my employees back!
20 years of zero claims prior to this recession does not count I guess.

Not one to defend Rham but I did some looking into this and found some more information …As someone who works with country tax records on a daily basis this happens often when a home sits on two tax lots!

Rainbow..we all have issues with covering our healthcare but bankrupting our country like CIT is not the answer. You do not think I as a small business owner am NOT worried about the economy!! I sit in my "fine" home ( for the time being that we worked for years to obtain) worried every day about losing it if the economy does not recover. I lose sleep every night wondering how and where we weill get the money to make the next house and car payment without a regular paycheck that I can count on. We live month to month.
Government employees should be worried because as I understand it CIT is one of the major insurers of their benefit plans.
and Plese do not tell me that the Right is the ONLY party that is in the "manure" business.

Well it’s not the "Bush Doctrine"…. but you probabkly did not read this at KOS or HUFFINGTON
Palin Energy Plan Receives High Praise
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has announced an ambitious plan to produce half of the state’s electricity from renewable sources by 2025.
Palin’s plan, which empowers local municipalities to identify and develop the most cost-efficient renewable power sources available to them, won immediate praise from environmental groups, consumer groups, and industry.
Local Solutions Identified
The plan was presented in a 245-page document, Alaska Energy: A First Step Toward Energy Independence. It identifies each community’s current energy needs for electrical generation, space heating, and transportation while developing a list of solutions to lower energy costs.
In a January 16 press conference, Palin said her plan was designed to break away from energy proposals produced in prior years but never implemented. Key to turning ideas into action under the Palin plan is identification of the most cost-effective energy alternatives for each community and region in the state.

Maizie… do you realize that the reason they go off shore for employees is because there are not enough engineers and high tech employees in our colleges and universities to meet the demand? Even though many manufacturers sponsor the departments in the institutions?

will have served 10 years…Bush was in office 8 and Obama so far one! He has a few months left! The point in case you missed it is that many of the current military are not pleased with their current CIC.
When a President asked the advice of a leader and then does not give him what he needs it does not set well. He may think he is helping them by delaying deployments but if they need them now due to stressed forces they need them yesterday!
It takes a month or more for a deployed unit to prepare to deploy, ship equipment, and get there to relieve or support a mission. Meanwhile he wants more time to think about it?????
I’m surprised the troops there have not refused to go out on missions without back up. When you call for backup you need back up not to have your commander say…lets give it 60 plus more days!!!???
