When you compare American conservatives to Nazis, you disrespect the triumph of good over evil which ended the Holocaust. The name-calling (crack who*e) and spelling errors (its Franken, not Frankin) were annoying, but not hateful. Before presenting yourself as an authority on “fascist regimes”, ask an ordinary person in North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, or Iran what everyday life is like in their authoritarian states. 1. Ann Coulter’s (often hilarious) rhetoric irritates because she gets lots of attention from liberal media. That may be why many believe Ann Coulter is the face of a monolithic American conservativism. News flash: this conservative doesn’t invariably agree with Ann, Jonah, Victor, Hugh, Mark, Bill, or Rush. 2. Dismissing conservatives as “Zionists” and “angry” is unproductive and intolerant. As if there weren’t plenty of angry feminists—Andrea Dworkin, anyone? What (or who) is a Zionist? 3.
