LOL - you know me too well - of course I watched it! It was great. I wasn’t thrilled with Mrs. Obama’s dress, but I’ve seen worse. Man - I gotta get that hat, too. Screw the red hat thing - I want an Aretha Hat!!

The best thing about them is that they appear to be very happy, healthy LITTLE GIRLS. Bravo to Michelle and President Obama - and their grandmother - for not letting them grow up too fast, in the midst of all this.

Nanci Pelosi is a tool. She represents the worst of the Democratic party and, from where I sit, it appears she doesn’t have a thought in her head. She does whatever Harry Reid tells her to do. She is a bad representation of women in politics, IMHO.

Yes, I was dissapointed as well. I thought it looked a little like toilet paper, wrapped around her. I normally love what she wears.

One last thing, as I watch the recap on the ABC World News Tonight - Aretha Franklin is THE QUEEN. Not only was her voice gorgeous, but that hat KILLED. What a woman!!

I’m STILL watching the parade on CNN. Michelle looks exhausted, but still very happy.

You can still get an appointment for a tour of the public areas of the White House by requesting it from your congressman or woman. When we went to DC in 2005, we made this, and a request for a tour of the Capitol, both of which were wonderful. Our tour of the Capitol was conducted by one of our congressman’s staff. You can even get tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll, if you have a child or grandchild under the age of 10. You have to request FAR in advance - call your representative’s office for info!

Byrd was taken, but because he was so distraught over Kennedy. ABC just reported he was taken as well, but is concious - just worried about his health because he is so upset.

I just love her. I remember how she brought San Francisco back together after the horrific assassinations of Harvey Milk and George Moscone. She’s always been a voice of unity and inclusion.
