Let Down and Felt Up? by E.D. Hill

I am sorry to hear about your current problem. You are fortunate to have insurance, there are many who do not. I am not concerned about the recommendations of the panel though. The panel has been around since 1986 and they make recommendations, these are not mandates. I do wonder though how many insurance companies are intending to run with this as another cost savings for them.

I also wonder about this "panel" and their findings coming out at this particular time, something about it don’t pass the "smell test".

Liz Smith: The Apocalypse Arrives – Is It '2012' the Movie or Is It … Sarah Palin in 2012?

You should read more S.J., McLeod is very serious about corruption. I think that she would never have done one thing for Palin had she know just what kind of person Sarah was to begin with. Here is a bit from a Vanity Fair article.

"McLeod is a Republican, and she was once a Palin ally. In fact, she was integral to Palin’s effort to oust state Republican party chairman Randy Ruedrich from Alaska’s Oil and Gas Conservation Commission in 2003 after it emerged that he had used his state email account for political purposes. So important was McLeod that one Anchorage talk show host, Rick Rydell, has said that “Andree’s almost responsible for creating Sarah Palin.” Recognizing her debt, Palin heaped praise on McLeod. “Thanks for working to instill the public trust,” she wrote her in one email. In other emails she wrote, “I’m proud to know you,” and “Holy Moly you are powerful regarding getting the word out to the press about questionable activity.”

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

Well deber, I can only speak for myself. I am not feeling like the President failed us, in fact, I do think that things are starting to turn around. I believe that there is much to do yet and that the President should do a bit of "house cleaning" in some of his appointments. I did not think that this mess would turn around overnight. As far as your precious polls, they mean nothing to me, they change as the wind blows. Polls are only as good as yesterdays news.

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

Leigh, our President is a very smart man, he will not be pushed to make a decision, until he has looked at all sides of the issue. This I admire very much, it is to bad that GWB didn’t think things through, perhaps it would have cost us less in loss of life and taxpayer money. President Obama was not elected on "rock star" status, as much as the right would like it to be so and continually pushes that malarky. My opinion on Palin, she may make a try for president, as a 3rd party candidate.

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

deber, the American people created the perfect storm? That is the silliest thing I have heard, the Bush/Cheney regime created this "perfect storm" add to that McCain putting Palin on the ticket. If Ms. Palin aspires to become president, she surely has her work cut out for her. Her status as a celebrity is just that, not presidential material, just a side show.

What's your viewpoint on a one-term presidency for Obama, no matter the reason?

Well said Baby S, my youngest son said nearly the same to me a some years back. Everyone fights tooth and nail over their preferred party, but what for, corporations are really in charge.

Liz Peek: Grandiosity, Not Common Sense, Drives Health-Care Bill

Frannie, this is an old article but I believe it is a good one. Our jobs have gone, they have been leaving for many years, how to get back on track is a good question. President Clinton still had jobs here, so it was easier for him to turn the economy around, now I don’t know what it is going to take…http://www.counterpunch.org/roberts09302006.html

Brittle Obama Thrashes Wall Street: All Form, No Substance, by Liz Peek

No, not lying in the street here, but last week a little one year old died of it, I’m sure his parents wished he had gotten the shot.

Brittle Obama Thrashes Wall Street: All Form, No Substance, by Liz Peek

Dear Liz Peek

I am so glad that you write your column every week, well except last week, it gives the rightwing something to look forward to, to grasp onto. It is kind of like rally round the elephant. It just warms the cockles of my heart, to see all the rightwing come out of the woodwork and get the pent up vile off their chests. I barely have time to skim your column, as I can’t wait to read the comments and see the therapeutic results, it has on some. No one, should have to go around with that much pent up hatred in them, it could cause health problems and I wouldn’t want to see any health claim for treatment denied, by our wonderful insurance industry. I am worried though, the pack has 3 more years at least to rant and rave, maybe you should write 2 columns a week to help alleviate that anger build up. I don’t know either what will happen when the economy picks up, what will you come up with then to help the stress build up? Oh well, I am sure you’ll think up something, you always seem able to fathom out some bleak forecast on something.

Should marijuana or prostitution be legalized?

F P, I’d sure like to see those Wall Street criminals in the "gray bar hotel" fine place for them!

Should marijuana or prostitution be legalized?

They should legalize both, prostitution has been around forever and it isn’t going away. Why spend taxpayers money chasing marijuana users and prostitutes? All we are doing now is making the drug cartels rich, we are not making headway on the "war on drugs" we are wasting money and resources. Tax both and put that money to good use, like finding those child molesters and killers on the loose.
