Candice Bergen Thinks Republicans Have Become 'Utterly Irrelevant'
I consider myself conservative; yet I tend to vote for Democrats. God’s primary priniciple is for us to love one another, like He loves us. Wheteher you believe in God or not, it seems like that is still a good philosophy to follow. And I have found that while Republicans consider themselves the moral right and religious, most of the republican philosophy leaves out the basic premise of loving one another and caring for one another. There is enough bounty on this earth for everyone to have access to healthcare, food and shelter, etc. Also, who are we, any of us, to interfere in choices that we sometime have to make, like abortion. I don’t believe in it, but I don’t believe I have a right to tell you or legislate your choice. All that to say, maybe Republicans should look in the mirror, examine yourselves and then develop policies or ideals that incorporate a love for everyone. Right now, Democrats are the closest we have to it.

Sarah Palin Discusses Trig Decision: She Had to 'Walk the Walk'
I guess I am amazed how you can say she is sooooo honest from this one moment. I agree that she showed vulnerability but it does not appear to be a real personality trait for her nor does brutal honesty.
And just like she exercised her right through her faith to make the choice not to abort, so should every woman have that right!! The right to choose life, God, what I read, who I like, etc…

Candice Bergen Reflects on Natasha Richardson's Death
I think you are taking the comment the wrong way TJ. Seems a little personal.
What I got from it was that Natasha decided what she wanted, knew what it took to get it and went for it. Which is what this life gives us. We are blessed to be able to make decisions and changes in our lives, to live life and not let it live us. Natasha was a good mother, wife, actress, and genuine human being is what I hear. And Candice’s memorial took nothing from that.
Chill!
Liz Smith: Rihanna – Dump Your Abuser, Now!
Liz,
Re: Rihanna - a woman hits a man? Yeah, the man should leave the room, but we really don’t know how this happened. And we are all being so judgemental about what should have happened. Women should walk away too. It is not just the man’s responsibility to make sure the fight doesn’t start or escalate. I have known women who press the man into a fight and then someone gets a piece of their liver sliced and it wasn’t the woman.
Anyway, I think we should get out of Rihanna’s business.

Jackie Kennedy and the Real Reason First Lady Michelle Obama Is Sleeveless
Short sleeves or not, the First Lady portrait is beautiful. Style, like the other comments on this board, is a matter of opinion. We are no longer in the days of no white after labor day, no bright colors in the winter, etc.
This conversation must be some of the fluff that we discuss on this site! (LOL)
Palin to Pay Alaska for Kid-Accompanied Trips
OK. I could disagree with you about Governor Palin’s accomplishments; however, I don’t want to continue the debate about her.
Thank you for the welcome and I look forward to discussing other topics including the fluff:-)
Palin to Pay Alaska for Kid-Accompanied Trips
Marjorie,
As much as I like Mrs. Obama, not really, not now. When she takes on her projects as First Lady and there is something more to discuss other than whether you like her dress or not, then Yes, I will chime in. For me, Governor Palin was news, and I emphasize was news during the election. She is not contributing anything worthwhile that addresses the State of our Nation right now. I come to the WOW site for the current issues from a woman’s perspective.
