Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

The old adage "you are the company you keep" is coming back to bite President Obama. What I don’t understand is what a huge surprise it seems to be to Americans that he surrounded himself with the likes of Van Jones and Rev. Wright. That is where he came from, they were the people he chose to call friends for years. It must really rancle him to have to allow all funding for Acorn and it’s affiliates to cease, especially as they played such a big part in getting him elected. The tentacles run so deep within the political lobbying that they will just show up as another organization and get funding anyway. Mind boggling how intricately these threads run through the system. Glen Beck and Fox News will not let this rest and that is why they are picking up more and more of the market share in the ratings. People want to know the facts. Fox is giving the facts to them. Hopefully the other networks will begin to follow suit and we will all benefit. I for one had great hopes for President Obama being the one who would bring the country together in a bi partisan way. The words he spoke gave great promise, too bad inconvenient facts got in the way. If he truly is the man he has portrayed himself to be it’s not too late. He should pull back from Nancy Peloci, Harry Reid and the far left of the party and stay true to the convictions he was elected on. They are what attracted Americans to him in the first place. Hopefully all trust is not yet lost but day by day the trust is being erroded. Change is what Americans voted for, change that would benefit all. Is that too much to ask for? The way out of the mess is with honesty, not con jobs. Weed out the corruption from both parties. Big job, is anyone up to it? That in essence is the message of Glen Beck and his call to the American People. Tune in people, you may be surprised.

President Obama is threathened by Fox News and many of it’s commentators, that’s why he will never appear on any of their programs. He uses glib throw off remarks to hide his hatred of them and hatred is a word I don’t use lightly. This man and his mighty band of "czars" are dangerous however benign they appear but I think the American people are waking up and it will all turn out ok. The country will be stronger for it. Your remark about not being able to recall another President making disparaging remarks about people and news agencies is probably because they didn’t. He wants to be a President of the people so he acts like the people, he doesn’t seem to realize his office has elevated him to a place where he should be above the fray. This is also why the people react to him the way they do and don’t give him the deference the office demands. He can’t have it both ways. Interesting times hey?

have you ever noticed it’s the people who don’t or won’t listen to Fox News who are the most vehement against it? I listen to them all, MSNBC,CNN as well as HLN and I have never found Fox to be anything but informative and interesting whether or not I agreed with all that was said. There are a couple of commentators on MSNBC I have found to be hysterics but I do struggle through to listen to them too at times just to get the other side. People should listen to Fox News if they want to get both sides of the issue and then make up their own minds. Morning Joe on MSNBC I find is very fair, love that show, highly recommend it to all, wish it were on a little later in the day.

I was very disappointed in Jimmy Carter for injecting race into this issue. I feel he misused his status and it certainly did nothing to help unite Americans. Hard to figure out where his head is at these days. Maybe it was by design, I hope not as we should be able to look to senior statesmen for wisdom in these troubling times. Where the country is headed is far too important to get caught up in racism. We have to focus on policies, not politics. Keep up the good work deber B, I always enjoy your posts.

Thank you deber B. Of course the country isn’t reacting to President Obama’s policies in the way that they are because he is black. They are reacting that way because they are just plain scared. They don’t like the direction the country is heading and that has nothing to do with his race. I also agree the country won’t see another black President for quite some time and that’s a shame. President Obama is a fantastic speaker, a great pitch man but people are waking up to the fact his policies are a little short on reality. His vision just came at the wrong time in the country’s history. With the economy in the tank you simply can’t afford to spend your way out, first things first. Social problems must take a back seat to getting people back to work and the economy back on track. It’s terrible this has been turned into a race issue but I guess it’s a good ploy for those on the left that have nothing else to sling.

I think you have nailed the slimy creep Terry. I too think he’s playing some sick game of trying to further humiliate his wife in public with his confession of finding his "soul mate". That is the one thing that would hurt more than all else and would assure his not having to work things out with his wife. There’s no where to go from there. It’s over, but what a dispicable cowardly way to assure he gets what he wants and can slither back to his paramour with the assurance in his sick mind that he did all he could to salvage his marriage. After all, he’s a "bottom line kind of guy". Hopefully his "honesty" will get him exactly what he deserves, total disgrace. He’s one sick puppy. He should give his wife and boys the respect they deserve and just slither out of their lives, he’s become a total embarrassment to all who know him.

Dear Mr. President …

I totally agree S.J. Morgan. Fox is the network giving the balanced reporting. They have become the voice of sanity in the Obama love fest America is embarking upon. One exception to that is MSNBC in the morning with Morning Joe. They should be repeating that program periodically throughout the night as they do with Olberman and Maddox. Now those two are the real whiners on the air waves. Morning Joe and company have become the place to go for truthful, entertaining information. If you haven’t tried them, check them out, they are putting on a very good and informative show. I’m not an Obama hater, in fact I quite like him, he’s rather hypnotic, a marvelous speaker, but I almost get the feeling he’s putting one over on all of us. He definitely has an agenda, it’s change America, and he will too, wonder how the people will like the "new order" when the rose colored glasses finally slip off.

Right on EKA. Throw Maddow in with Olberman and you’ve hit it dead on. I too like Matthews and he doesn’t try to deceive you about who he is. I think he genuinely is a good person.
