I would say, marry someone who has the personal qualities that you most desire in a mate. As for the fleetingness of emotion, so is the satisfaction you get from a good meal. Remember how we had to march on Washington to get the taxes on the super rich reduced from 90%? Then under Bush 2 we had to again march to get reduced taxes for the super rich, even though we were in endless war? See, the will of the people can be done.

Incidentally, I never needed any oil between changes, only replaced my valve cover gasket three times, never had any leaks or ring wear. I was getting 32 mph on my normal city/hwy driving, and on straight hiway if going tops 55 , got 38 mpg. Early on my son sent the oil in to a place doing extensive analysis  of used oil, and the  info he  got back convinced him that once a year was sufficient to maintain excellent protection. You didn’t mention what kind of driving you did.

You are so right. If the billionaires ran their businesses at a 2% or less profit margin, they would sell more of their products and while increasing the purchasing power of the middle class also be increasing the value of all money. They would practically be worshipped by the middle class, and below. What is ever going to make them realize that endless profits = endless greed, and total stupidity? How many nerve endings do they have, with which to enjoy anything?

Of course it’s not required if you change oil every 4,000 miles. I only changed oil once a year. Most of my driving was short trip drives with many traffic stops . New Jersey traffic is no movement traffic. How about engine work?There is no way in the world that regular oil can compete with synthetics on point for point, equal driving conditions.I spent nothing on engine repair, never had a tune up. Got rid of my 4 cyl renault with the original clutch, at 235,000 plus miles. This was a wonderful handling, riding, great little car. So what was your driving like? I think we should change to a warriors society like ancient greece. We could train our children for war from the earliest age. Just think of the glory of endless war. We can make earth an even greater hell than it already is, and make the MIC temporarily satisfied.But why do we let the news outlets tell us what is important?

Your old car has to get 18mpg or less to qualify for the $4,500. If anybody buys a car, just  use synthetic oil from the start, and never use anything else. You will likely never spend a penny on engine work for the life of that vehicle.With regular oil changed regularly, your engine will be fine  up to 55,000 miles. It’s AFTER THAT, that the difference shows ,using synthetics. That’s why consumer’s union said that regular good oil was as good as synthetics. They didn’t run the test long enough.It’s like having good health habits. The payoff is later on. I use Mobil one.
