Liz Smith: Farrah Fawcett's Tender Loving Care
You’re over the top. Jackson was a very talented entertainer. He was not a saint. As a mere mortal he had his own group of problems, and looking like a grotesque white woman was one of them. Whatever his reasons, it was sad as he must have suffered with many issues. But we all enjoyed and marvelled at his talent. It cannot be overlooked that Sharpton’s exaggerated ravings don’t add anything to Jackson’s life and image. We’ve been deluged 24/7 in a media frenzy, and Jackson should be allowed to rest in peace. Madonna? What the H does her life have anything to do with this? It’s no secret that our culture is suffused with celebrity hysteria/mad fan syndrome, and the media is exploiting this.
There is no hatred here, but no one’s talent is limitless. I’m talking Mozart,Beeethoven, et al. We need to all calm down and each of us remember this extraordinary talent in our own way without being accused of "disrespect".
Liz Smith: Farrah Fawcett's Tender Loving Care
It’s been a Jackson orgy of over the top media hype and Sharpton is being true to form. The media will milk this [along with Sharpton] as long as possible.
As for Palin she’ll make a ton of money, go on Fox and get her own show as GOP new thing. Perhaps even a reality show. The only thing I can look forward to is that I won’t have to watch or listen to her pathological rantings. She’ll be wired where I don’t watch. This is a grotesque woman in a qrotesque political party.
Margo Howard, Ann Coulter Miraculously Agree: Palin Too Big for Alaska
After watching Palin meandering and rambling through a speed high cranking out infantile disconnected thoughts, I have come to the conclusion that she’s more than loopy and lacks a considerable amount of self control. I didn’t thinl Margo was ugly or catty. I don’t know about Texas, but here in New York Palin appears a self serving deluded nut job. Her book? She’ll be controlled by the editors, and the press roll out and TV interviews will put Palin on the best seller list.
Alaska? She’s doing them a favor by leaving. She’s cost them millions and egomania has taken up most of her time. Expect another scandal that will somewhat explain her bizarre behavior.
Mark Sanford's Sensual E-mail Exchanges With Argentinean Mistress Maria Belen Shapur Made Public (Video)
Sanford is in full mid-life crisis. He is clearly unstable, and obviously unable to disclose his financies as he probably has much to hide. He can’t stop talking. He needs to have his pathetic image buttressed by disclosure of other affairs.
This kind of individual is totally unable to govern and he is in violation of many codes of S.Carolina laws as well as the duties and laws required by Governor.
He isn’t making it easier for his kids, wife, or the citizens of SC. GOP defense of his behavior is a moral sham of complete hypocricy and opportunism. He’s a gift that keeps giving to SC Democrats.
He should go away and get some therapy. Fast.

Mr. Wow on the Rise and fall and Rise and ... What? – of Sarah Palin
Palin should be ignored. The ridiculously raunch remarks about Palin, stewardesses, and her kid are over. He apologized as he should.
Palin needs to go back to Alaska and study up. She talks incessantly and says nothing, and always winds up talking about "our brave servicemen".
This has been a PR fest for Palin, and it should end. She would be far more creditable and impressive if she took to the books.
Enough!
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery – and won big?
The first thing would be to contact a great tax attorney and lawyer to protect and invest the money properly with a financial plan that made sense. Then I would be able to think about the possible choices before me with a sense of reality. A huge amount of money has to be protected before one starts to spend it, or make unwise decisions.
I would plan for charities, foundations,my own pleasure, and a budget. Many lottery winners have gone broke and wind up owing taxes, and are setups for being hit for loans and other scams.
But I would certainly enjoy all the goodies possible once I knew what I was doing, and happily give to charities I believe in.
'From Struggle to Grace': Arianna Huffington Levels With Lesley Stahl
I believe Lesley meant "Elusive" when she referred to Cheney? Or, perhaps "Illlusive" which was used has a special meaning?
This was a good article, but Arianna pays nothing for talent and this is troubling. Huffington Post is interesting, and not always without bias, but I appreciate reading contributors most of the time. I generally log on every day.
Sonia Sotomayor Will Need to Impress at Her Capitol Hill Debut Today
Sotomayor has more depth of experience than anyone else on the court prior to their confirmation. She is a highly experienced judge who has thousands of cases and hundreds of opinions in her background.
i am sure she will be confirmed, and believe she’ll be able to handle the grilling she expects to get as well as defending her rulings and opinions.
The right wing noise machine has used slurs and accusations ["KKK"], ["Racist"],hoping to derail her confirmation. Imagine! A woman! Not just any woman, but a "Latina"!. The old boys club is very shook up, poor dears.

BIBI,
Please go to SCOTUSblog.com and find the real facts as to how exactly Sotomayer voted. Her record re: reversals and decisions is exemplery and your bull…t about law and theories is meaningless. Stick to the facts and they are all to be found on blog suggested. She is an excellent choice for SCOTUS.
