wOw's Views on the News: Will Pinocchio Be the Next U.S. President?

I agree, Lana. Opinion polls are self serving and tend to shape perceptions out of rubbish. We would be better off without the nonesense of guesstimating. The MSM are responsible for most of the Desert we’re in. And the apathetic voters and “undecideds” have finished this sordid social scene. Most polls are toxic and unfactual and we could do without.

wOw's Views on the News: Will Pinocchio Be the Next U.S. President?

They have all fibbed, pandered, denied, flip flopped, and been inaccurate on facts. Of course, Hillary will be more criticized by women as well as men because sexism is here to stay. Both Obama with his absurd “I didn’t hear this in 20 years, and he’s like one of my family”, and then threw Wright under the bus when necessary. Obama also lied outrageously in San Francisco re:Bittergate when he said that these folks you know are bitter as they’ve faced unemployment and lack of jobs since Kennedy. Bill Clinton increased employment by millions. Pennsylvnia’s work force was increased by 500,000 jobs under Clinton. Hillary and Bosnia was a blooper, and McCain just panders and contradicts himself as he becomes more conservative by the minute. I don’t like any of these candidates, as each have drawbacks that concern me in these very difficult times. Voter’s past apathy has created a vacum of leadership in both parties. Now we see an inexperienced Obama who will be the nominee as Florida will be kept out of the loop until he is anointed, then of course Fla and Mi will be allowed back into the fold. Democrats Disssapoint. Republicans have been reprehensible. What a lousy situation.

Mary Wells on Political Correctness: 'It Drives Me Mad That We Can’t Just Say What We Think'

I have been to quite a few dinners in Paris and Antibes, and I’ve never been jumped. Sexual attitudes vary in France and it includes how one is treated socially.. I have had my share of romances, but it seems that American’s are still tied up with morality where sex is concerned. Europeans tend not to see sex and lust compatible with love. American women appear to equate sex with love. This is cultural, but so what? while Europeans separate this.

Mary Wells on Political Correctness: 'It Drives Me Mad That We Can’t Just Say What We Think'

I agree with Mary. It is impossible and incorrect to legislate what we think we should say. And we do it all the time to the extent that we will ultimately have nothing to say. If it’s hate speech, there are laws. If it’s offensive it can be responded to unless one is a gutless wonder. If it is too crude, you can freely object in many ways. Etc. Personal preferences are one thing, but the ability and willingness to feel free to talk is another. everyone’s judgement is different, and should remain different. That’s the point.Remember? Free Speech. Whether we like it or not.

The Post Peggy Noonan Finished Exactly Four Minutes Before Samantha Power Resigned

Regardless of what side you’re on Samantha Powers is small time. Yes as an intellect, wonk, professor and great writer she gets respect. But the judgement shown by Camp Obama to send out an overwrought amateur and would be diplomat as “foreign policy advisor” is absurd. Power exhibited a typical left wing angry self righteous rage and showed poor judgement in her monster remark, but she also said “we f….d up in Ohio, blah, blah. Her Iraq remarks discredit Obama’s sincerity that he passionately claims about ending Iraq war within 16 months. Samantha in essence was telling the press, “not so fast, it could change you know, and probably will, etc, blah.”. This is not a small mistake. Her passion for Obama doesn’t make her capable of executing responsible foreign policy or diplomacy on any level. She needs to stick to her humanitarian efforts, but please stay away from the press. Peggy Noonan’s point is that of a political pro. But I doubt sincerely that Ms. Noonan would have found her personality or behavior acceptable as someone who apparently lacks discretion, self control, common sense, and tact. Potty mouths don’t make good diplomats. Why should Obama keep her? She’d goof again, or act at best as a reminder of his incompetence re: Canada and NAFTA where it was again, wink, wink, Obama is just talking about NAFTA for the campaign. And, Obama is heard and seen on TV saying it is absolutely untrue, etc. I cannot imagine how anyone is ok with this. He is on a free ride.

The Presidential Race Right Now: A NEW Interview with Pollster, Dotty Lynch

I believe I have seen sexism trump racism as an issue and the “charisma” factor of Obama while very manufactured and cultish has impressed the young. Hillary’s negatives and the plain fact that she’s a woman have been enough to turn many men off. I am surprised that women, and I refer to democratic voters, are not voting in their interest as women. Yet blacks are voting over 80% for Obama. Obama has many problematic issues in his background that have not been vetted, and he remains Press Precious. I think the press has been negligent ,as his problems in Chicago are all out there in SunTimes and elsewhere. But I am still astonished at the blatant disrespect, condescension, and all around sexist behavior and language I’ve been seeing in the Media.
