Mary Wells: How to Keep Warm During the Cold Winter

Speaking of sweaters…one of my favorite hobbies (much to my wealthy in laws dismay…) is hitting Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and consignment shops…just last week I snagged a beautiful Ralph Lauren sweater at Goodwill for $2.50!! It didn’t even look like it had been worn. I have several designer items in my closet that I paid less than $5.00 for. It takes time, looking through all of the racks, but its a great way to spend a rainy day! Oh, and in the summer? My sons wear nothing but Goodwill and Salvation Army shorts, t shirts etc. because they are boys and just tear them up anyway!

Agyness - I didn’t see it on the list…but am just bold enough to suggest my own cabinet position…I would very much like to be Secretary of Martinis…of course this would make me responsible for olive acquisition etc. I assure you I am up to the task and prepared to serve my country to the best of my ability!

50ish, 60ish, 70ish Fathers and Their 'Trophy' Kids (Photos)

Many years ago, after my divorce, I briefly dated a VERY wealthy man who was 26 years my senior…when I stopped seeing him, a friend said “My God! Are you crazy?? Why would you walk away from a millionaire?” I looked at her and said two words…”Geezer Sex”…couldn’t do it. There wasn’t a room dark enough…

What is your best beauty tip?

Tinted Moisturizer (sp?) have tried the expensive ones, and now use only “Wet n Wild” at less than four dollars a bottle. Under it, Vaseline Anti Age lotion. Never sleep in make up, oh, and before bed each night I massage olive oil on to my face. If you are thorough it won’t rub off on the pillows.

Salma Hayek: 'I Can't Stop' Breast-feeding

I have a relative who nursed each of her children until they were five. Seriously. Now, she cannot understand why they can’t be two feet from her without having whining, screaming fits…they can barely get through a day at school, and when they come home they are all over her. She can’t get out of their sight. Clearly she took this a tad too far!!

Report: Brad Peeved at Aniston Over Telling Vogue of Jolie Rift

Note to Angelina…”If he’ll do it with you…(cheat) he’ll do it to you.”

Victoria's Secret 'Red Hot' Lawsuit Claim: Bras Contained Formaldehyde, Made Woman 'Utterly Sick'

I’ve been wearing the “Secret Embrace” bra for years now, and have never had an issue of any kind. I love it, gives the girls the support they need and I can hardly tell I have it on! It’s that comfortable! Victoria’s Secret is the only place I buy my bras.

What magazine cover would you most like to appear on? Why?

More” the only magazine I read that isn’t food related. All of my subscriptions are for food related magazines, “Southern Living” combines food, travel and home…but the others are all food. I’d rather be in my kitchen than anywhere else…unless I’m on the beach at Hilton Head!

Louboutin's New 7-Inch+ Heels on the Red Carpet: Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria (Photos)

Ridiculous…I would never torture my feet, back and legs like that. Give me my ballerina flats any day!!

What is the first movie you ever saw in a movie theater? What do you remember about it?

Mary Poppins…it was my Birthday, and on the way home my Father stopped at a toy store and bought me the Mary Poppins doll! I was in heaven! Later in my “growing up” years we would go to the drive in to see the westerns we both loved. We are fortunate here in our small southern town, just fifteen minutes away is one of the last operating family drive ins…we can’t wait to take our sons, ages 11 and 13 next summer…as they have never been to a drive in! Should be a hoot!

'Twas 2 Months Before Christmas, and Wal-Mart Keeps Cutting Prices

Though never happy to feed the Wal Mart machine…I can’t ignore their prices, especially on things like canned goods. A Super Wal-Mart opened near us, and I was able to cut my grocery spending in half.

What's the one thing you plan to give up to save money? What's the one thing you won't give up?

I would never give up my dogs or the things needed for their care. Christmas this year will be like the Christmas I grew up with…it was always more about people being together, lots of good food etc. than about gifts. I have never understood people going into debt in order to buy Christmas gifts. We recently moved, and I was surprised to find, in my children’s room, gifts from last Christmas still in their packaging! Never opened or used! Guess what? They are getting them again this year! It was a huge wake up call for my normally over indulgent husband…he realized our children have been given so much that they appreciate very little. This Christmas should be an eye opener for them! Other cut backs, dining out, movies out, traveling.

What will you miss the most about the presidential campaign? The least?

Oh, I will soooo miss Tina Fey as Palin…but I think we’ll see her at least one more time this Saturday! I will NOT miss the ads and the people knocking on my door and stuffing literature into my door.

Barack Hussein Obama Wins Historic Election; Will Become 44th President of The United States of America

Oh…ladies we have seen history made…and tonight I am so proud of my state..VIRGINIA…we went blue for the first time since 1964. I cried, I rejoiced, and I realized I was seeing history made…I will, some day, tell my grand babies about this night. Oh, and that was NOT gun fire at my house…champagne corks! Again, Godspeed…PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!

Where do you plan to watch the returns of the Presidential Election?

I will be at home with my husband, a few close friends and our dogs…waiting for that moment when I can open the several bottles of champagne I’ve been saving for this day. I woke up before dawn today, something that rarely happens…even though we won’t be voting until later in the day…just a sense of excitement, like a kid on Christmas morning! Godspeed Mr. Obama.
