I watched The COURAGEOUS HEART The story of Irena Sendler last night too.  It was heartbreaking to watch.  I often wonder how the descendants of Germans feel about their part in this horrible part of history.  Adversity does draw people together, or I should say most people.  Some become more angry and dangerous when times get hard.  Instead of looking inward to see what they can do to help, they lash out and try like hell to find somebody to blame.

Amen to that Liz.  Common decency…where is it? what happened?

Sometimes we have to spend money to make money.  If everybody held on and kept their money under the mattress, what then?!

i feel the same way you do Belinda.  I miss my parents terribly.  I never felt so alone as when the day came that I had no grand-parents or parents to fuss over and with.  Hurray to you Ruth.

i really don’t know what the uproar is all about.  In my 37 years of employment with the US Government, I always assumed they listened or at least taped our overseas and maybe even domestic conversations.  We were always told to be very careful what we said on the phone.  This was over a 37 year period!  People need to take their head out of the sand.

Some of them can’t even manage LG..lol.

I understand about the Codeine RG.  It makes me crazy…take care of yourself girl.

Lol MJ I was ranting back there too.  I am a mother and grandmother and I want to see this country strive and become great again.  When the other party was in charge that did not happen.  For God sake, give someone else a chance to fix this mess.  President O is in charge for four years.  Like he has said, if things don’t work out, then elect someone else.  But how about respecting the office he hold?  he did not elect himself, I majority of people put him there.  With this kind of hate speech, I fear for my 36 year old son and 22 year old grandson.  I am blessed to say they are doing what’s expected of them.  My son went to college and is now an accountant with a prestigious firm.  My daughter gave 12 years of her young life defending this country while in the Air Force.  She now serves as a Spanish Language Interpreter for a Superior Court.  My grandson has one of those jobs where everything is kept quite because of the kind of security clearance he has. They are working and paying taxes.  But, they are black.  Where does all this nastiness leave them? I for one will join you on that march to Washington to protect our duly elected president.  I too will take a bullet for him. Just call me.

My fear is that something really bad is going to happen in this country because of some people’s inability to accept a black man for president.  The hate, vitriol and fear mongering heard on tv and that’s written about him and his family give me a pain in my heart. 

I clearly remember going to bed one night believing we had one man for president only to wake up the next morning to find it was someone else altogether.  At that time most people believed the presidency had been stolen.  That the Courts had simply handed the presidency over to Mr Bush and company.  There was no hate speech or incitement to revolt.  Those of us who were caught off guard vowed to pay better attention next time.  The following 4 years went to the Republicans again so we waited and watched as the country was ran into the ground. 

President Obama ran a fair campaign and won by a majority.  No court or any other entity was needed to place him in the White House.  But, the loosing party refuse to accept this man.  They have set out to say no, and to take the opposite position no matter what he says or propose.  What we see is sheer madness and can only be attributed to the color of his skin. Those who deny that fact are liars.  It breaks my heart to see and hear this.

This is my opinion, and sticking to it.

I’m acutely aware that  I pay  someones entire annual salary.  With that, I pay and move on. Life’s to short to worry about stuff like that.
