right on, liz..the other day i bought a beautiful strapless one piece…i havent had it on yet, but i know i will look good in it..havent worn a two piece since i was a 36/26/36 17 year old…(those measurements, considered ‘perfect’ in the 1960’s are really out of whack in today’s ‘skinny’ world) ….’dont give a damn’ is my catch word at 61…i’ve EARNED whatever i want to wear, do, say, think, etc…but then, we texas women always have been an independent lot who didnt rely on men to tell us what to do…..

kay sara…i hate to say this, but in general women do/always have spoken up when it matters…generally no one hears us but ourselves…what is sad and shameful is that everything we have accomplished like VOTING, the MILITARY, etc. is because some MAN/MEN in power has/have put their two cents in…just disgusts me that we cant ever get anything for OURSELVES…i dont agree with you at all…

i dont personally like her…never did…however, i agree that sexism is very prevalant in this country…as long as there are men around: MEN from the lowest homeless street person clear up to the president of this country just dont really think women have the brains to do anything but pop out their (mens) children, and generally be unpaid slave labor..just remember something guys….if you had to pay us for all we do for you at home, you COULDNT afford it!!! unfortunately, both SEXISM and RACISM are, at this point in ‘human’ development, still a fact…all women and people who are not WHITE can do is the best we can and hope…
