Diesel prices are killing me. What used to cost me 50 bucks to fill up my tank is now costing me over a hundred at each visit. Heck, even the cost of diet coke has gone up from $2.99 for a 12 pack to 5 dollars a 12 pack. I don’t spend extravagantly, I don’t buy designer anything, and I try to be as frugal as I can in all aspects of my life (except living off a diet of ramen noodles a la college days). I’m just floored on a daily basis at how expensive some things are becoming these days.

Like Sharon, I would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about my financial future after grad school.

Women like Valerie are wonderful role models. Taking their lives into their own hands, taking responsibility for their past, and loving themselves freely. I wish more women like this were interviewed. She is honest, truthful, yet humble and sweet. Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks Barbara for reminding me about the Ukranian eggs. My mother puts them out every year and I love to study the designs. They have been a staple of our decorations for as long as I can remember.

Cockroaches in a hotel room don’t scare me near as badly as swarming termites after you lay in bed. I had that luxury happen in Belize. A new room and no charge for the rest of the trip partially made up for that terror I had as I ran screaming into the festivities of the main hotel patio in my pj’s covered head to toe in bugs. That was definitely the most interesting New Year’s ever.

My boyfriend and I are headed to my folks house this afternoon, after I get off work, to spend the weekend with them. No easter egg hunts planned though. No kiddos around that are young enough. However, we will be hanging out with some long time family friends on Sunday for brunch. I’m looking forward to home cooking, Reese’s peanut butter eggs, and sleeping in. (Oh, and keeping my mother from biting off the ears of all the chocolate bunnies.)

I’m really looking forward to watching this. As graduate student, I rarely get enough sleep these days. And I know it’s affecting things. I miss sleeping like I did in high school, let alone college.
