What do you hear outside the windows of your home at night?

Oops posted my reply in the wrong spot.  It sounds like we traded places Chris - I think I got the better of the deal.

Sounds like we just traded places. Sorry, I get the better of the deal.

What do you hear outside the windows of your home at night?

I lived in the city all of my life and moved here exactly 3 years ago. My kids were shocked because I said I would never leave the city and the conveniences that are there. But now that I am retired…….I love the quiet, simple life.

I live in the mountains in Idaho so at night, I hear the sweet sound of silence.

What is the most romantic vacation spot in the world you have ever experienced? What were the circumstances? Spill it all

I would also like to add that a few years ago, I met another wonderful man and we recently got married. We didn’t have the time for a honeymoon, due to his work schedule. I am hoping he and I, will experience a wonderful romantic memory, somewhere too that I can share with you all later on.

My husband and I had gone through some marriage problems and a short separation. When we reconciled, we took a trip to the Oregon Coast. We did not have a lot of money, but found a nice motel right on the ocean. The time we spent there along the Oregon coast was the most romantic time I can ever remember.  I am so glad I have that memory now, because he died of brain cancer 7 years later.

Where do you stand on regret?

Like Katywon and Frank Sinatra said……"regrets, I have a few, but then again, too few to mention"

What fantasy iPhone App would you go crazy for?

I am just now learning all the gadgets that my current cell phone has. I think it is the Motorola Razor….not even sure. I bought it because it was pink. My kids have the fancier phones. iPhone is what my daughter has. I am happy with just having a pink phone that I can take pictures with and send them to my computer or to others.

Have you ever done something you feared would come back to haunt you? Did it?

Haven’t we all? Come on be honest! Would I do a few things differently if I could go back. Yes I would. Were they stupid things? Yes they were! Did I think them through before doing them? No….because I didn’t want to. But I also believe…."he is without sin, let him cast the first stone!"

Sound familiar?

Country Mouse or City Mouse? Tell us where you live

I thought that was what was on the bike, wasn’t sure. I used to ride my own bike but I don’t anymore, too many wrecks. So I ride behind my husband now. That would be great to meet up sometime. We will have to stay in touch.

Country Mouse or City Mouse? Tell us where you live

Oh my gosh, we have a lot in common because we have a harley and ride as much as we can during the spring, summer and fall. We went to Sturgis a few years ago. We plan to take a ride through northern Idaho and maybe parts of Montana. I would like to go to the Oregon coast also.  Yes, the road to Atlanta is still gravel so wouldn’t be a good ride on the bike.

Country Mouse or City Mouse? Tell us where you live

It just goes to show what a small world it is.  That road to Atlanta is still closed during the worst part of winter. I was only there when we were camping in the area during summers. It is still a long rough dirt road to get there. What state do you live in now?

What was the last incredible meal you experienced? Spare no details

No scolding from me EKA because your posting reminded me of a great Italian restaurant my girlfriends and I went to, when we were in Chicago for a girlfriend’s trip to see Oprah. We went to a wonderful restaurant that looked like the mafia was going to be there any minute. We had so much wonderful food, that would have to be my all time favorite Italian meal.  I just forgot all about it because it was in 2000.

That is way too cool! I know all of the places you are mentioning. I went to Garfield, East Jr. High and Boise High, graduated in 1965. I have been to Atlanta so I know why they only had a one room school. Atlanta is soooooooooooo small.

Barbara, come to my house anytime and cook.  :)  I have had some great meals but one of the most recent was an Italian meal at the Olive Garden. I have eaten at that restaurant many times, but this was a special occasion. My husband and I had just gotten married (not the first for either of us) and it was a private ceremony.  My new brother-in-law and sister-in-law wanted to take us out to celebrate, with a good dinner.  They ordered some awesome appetizers (which we never do) and a wine to die for. Then I ordered a sauteed shrimp dish with some type of pasta…….oh my gosh. I ate it so lovingly, I was in heaven.  I have to ask my sister-in-law if she remembers what it was I ordered, because I can’t remember. But I want it again!
